How to use MagSafe Battery Pack?
The MagSafe battery pack doesn't fare well when charging while phone is in use; it limits charging to manage heat (which is good). Could be that your phone was hot when attached, or it was doing something that couldn't keep up with the slow charge.
Make sure your MagSafe Battery Pack is updated to the latest firmware that allows if to charge from 5w to the new 7.5w speed.
Another tip I have is to plug the MagSafe in, and connect your phone to the MagSafe. 15w wireless charging

You’re supposed to use it attached all day, so the Battery Pack is drained first. It works better that, rather than losing a lot of energy trying to charge from zero

Use them both from 100% when travelling. Once the pack is dead I’ll recharge that first when I get a chance so I have a almost full phone battery + a fresh charge for the pack.
