I am in need of a sander and like the look of the finish sander better, how comparable is their function. Is the orbital sander more powerful? Or is it purely dictated by the sand paper I install in it? If its going to operate almost identically to the orbital I feel like I should just grab the finish sander
Got a corded festool sander right now. It uses the standard 133x80 pads.
Dust extraction and vibration dampening is pretty damn good with it, however i dislike the ergonomics and its weight a lot.
Should I try, say the BO005? How is the dust extraction?
I'm looking to buy a new orbital sander, but now I want something good. I bought a Black & Decker sander, and after a few weeks, the pad is gone, and I can't find a new one on Amazon. Now I want a very good orbital sander that will last a long time. I'm also going to immediately buy a few replacement pads for the new orbital sander, but I can't decide between Makita or DeWalt. Which one has smaller hand fatigue and better dust collection? Overall, which one performs better?
In my country Makita is very polular and there is a lot of service centers if something happes to orbital sander but for me if orbital sander dies probably is for trash can. If somehing is hard to fix.
Both sanders in my store are priced the same and come with a 5-year warranty on the electric & electric motor.
And thanks for your answers.
I purchased a box of SATC 72 PCS 5 Inch 8 Hole Hook and Loop Adhesive Sanding Discs for my Makita Sander and the discs always fall off prematurely well before being worn out. Is there an adhesive I can spray on them to get them to stay on longer or will that hurt my base? I don't know if the discs I bought are just poor quality or if this is a common thing. Do I need to buy Makita brand discs? I love the sander but hate that the discs fall off.
