Marble backsplash yellowing right after grouting
Was cleaning the haze immediately after with warm water and a sponge. I go to look at it this morning and I have a number of tiles with yellow "rectangles". Clearly this is either from the grouting or the act of cleaning it. I've read that this might be caused by minerals in the water?

We have a full marble (slab) backsplash and thus far (it's been 19 months) not a single problem -- no staining / etching (as far as I can tell). My partner is a high-heat cooker (stir-fry) and total slob -- splatters everywhere, and nothing, even including tomato sauce bubbling / splattering -- no stains.

So far I’ve tried basic household cleaning supplies with paper towels, and nothing has been able to get the stains off. I’m wondering if it’s actually embedded in the countertop material at this point. Any suggestions or things to try would be great 👍
