Fashion Outlets of Chicago near ohare has a lot of outlet stores and discounts. Recently bought 3 new pairs of jeans from Levi’s for $100, bought more at Gap also cheap. This is a solid option if you need a lot of basics for your wardrobe. They do have higher end places on the second floor. I bought a really cool shirt from a designer called Sandro. What are you looking for? Casual or a suit? Work or fun? New or second hand? If you're not against a trip out of town Tawa has an outlet centre where you can get the normal brands for cheap. But it can be a bit disappointing if you're after a very fashion selection. Second hand out of town - Savemart in east Porirua is fantastic. Otherwise in town - Hallensteins if you don't mind very fashion but average quality clothes, cheap though and will last OK if you look after your clothes. Does both suits and casual. Farmers on Lambton Quay will also do some suits and stuff but the quality isn't fantastic - think polyester over cotton or wool. Barkers (NZ owned) for fine quality but more expensive than Hallensteins. Does both suits and casual, and does decent business casual too (blazers, dress pants, shirts etc). Country Road (overseas owned) is similar. Places like Good as Gold, Amazon, etc do casual wear but very fashion and more $. AS colour will do casual wear but more basics (think decent t-shirts, hoodies etc). I'm pretty sure there's a Rembrandt in town? They have pretty good suits but a little more $$. All wool though (so nicer to wear) and I'm pretty sure it's made in NZ (it used to be 10ish years ago but it may have changed). Jeans shops for jeans and shirts - Hurricane on Willis Street, or Just Jeans on Lambton Quay, or General Pants on Willis. Levis is on Willis/Featherston street. If you're baller and want some decent stuff, go to Working Style on Woodward Street, Rodd and Gunn on Willis Street, R.M. Williams on Willis Street, World on Victoria Street (verrrryyyy fashion tho), and David Jones on Lambton Quay. There's a suit place on Lambton Quay (near Mason Lane I think?) Which is also a little $$. If you are keen on second hand - Hunters and collectors get some amazing vintage designer, Recycle Boutique often have some amazing stuff, Spacesuit and Thrift are all pretty good too (all on Cuba or just off Cuba). Sallies on Taranaki and Vivian (I think?) Are OK too. Lots of stores will be in winter sales, so if you do a bit of online searching you can find some decent price cuts, especially in the wake of Covid - retail stores are trying to attract customers at the moment so prices are fairly decent.
