You can refer this article https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/office/sync-basics-what-you-can-and-cannot-sync-5537d587-4930-4ac2-b044-3568509b1294
Exchange email account service is required if you want to sync email and other items.
If you don’t want Office 365, You can create Outlook.com Microsoft account which is free, and it is an exchange account.
An IMAP mail account sycs mail only, not Calenders/People, there is a workaround using third party sync tools
For full sync you require an Exchange mail account, outlook.com is a free Ex type mail account (Assuming you dont want to use O365 Bus
Hi Lisa,
Thank you for the kind words.
Regarding your first question: Outlook offers 15 GB of free storage for your emails, shared across Gmail, Google Drive, and Google Photos. Given your usage pattern, you’re likely to have a similar volume of emails in Outlook as you do in Yahoo.
If we assume that your email usage remains consistent, you might accumulate emails at a similar rate. Over time, this could translate to: Hundreds of emails if you continue using email casually. Thousands if you exchange emails frequently. Tens of thousands if you’re an active email user.
Since most of your attachments are single-page, they won’t significantly impact storage. However, if you receive larger attachments (e.g., high-resolution images, PDFs), they’ll consume more space.
Given your usage, Outlook’s free storage should suffice for your needs. If you value the convenience of managing both Yahoo and Outlook emails in one place, linking them can be beneficial. If you ever approach the storage limit, consider periodically archiving or deleting older emails to free up space.
Regarding your second question. Please feel free to describe the problem, and I will try my best to help you.
I would appreciate your feedback.
