I understand your feeling.

Here are the recommended steps to activate and install Office 2024 after purchasing a key.

If you purchased an Office key from a valid source, you should be able to activate it by Office.com/setup or Microsoft365.com/setup entering the key.
If activated correctly, when you go to “Services & Subscriptions”, you can find your activated license here and click “Install” here to start the download.
After the installation is complete, log in to your Microsoft account associated with the key. See if it works.

Or you can also download Office 2024 installer directly offline via the following link, depending on the version you have:

Once the installation is complete, log in to your Microsoft account and enter your key to activate it. If you have already activated through the website, just log in to your Microsoft account.
