Hey guys, just as a hint, this is what I got in regards of an inquiry I had about some orders that weren't added as point to my Rewards. I think it can be useful for everyone.
P.S.: I know most of these items are clearly stated on the MS Terms, but look at the portion ' or Microsoft Account credits ', anyway, I was trying to help with this post, if the mods think it isn't useful, feel free to get it removed.... I don't want toxic comments while trying to help others...

Let me take this opportunity to inform you that not all Microsoft Store purchases are eligible for Shop and Earn points. To be exact, the following are not eligible for the bonus points:
-
In-game consumables
-
Xbox Live Gold memberships subscriptions like Xbox Game Pass or EA Access, Microsoft Movies & TV Season Passes
-
Xbox gift cards or Microsoft Account credits
-
Purchases done in Xbox 360 console/device
-
Purchases done in physical Microsoft Store
Let me set your expectations as well that the points added by the system were computed based from the amount of each purchase before taxes.

make the window narrow as possible signed in (only https://www.msn.com/en-us/shopping works to get the points) this will drop the odds to 1:3 instead of 1:4
open another browser and go to bing.com and search each item manually.. make sure it's signed in to collect your search points if it has not been done
make sure the picture is matched to the shopping points...
This is a simpler way instead of trying to keep a spread sheet imo that no one is contributing to...
First and foremost, I've seen a lot of people on here say that they're not receiving points for the Shopping Game and I thought I wasn't either. However, I simply refreshed the page and bam! There were those "missing" points. Give this a try if you think you're not getting any points for the game.
On to an easy way to play: Make sure you're on the shopping link for Microsoft Bing, NOT Microsoft Start (MSN Shopping). Trust me, there's a huge difference that I didn't know about until today when I accidentally went to Bing Shopping instead of Start. Here's how to tell if you're on the right site:
Microsoft Bing Shopping Microsoft Start Shopping (DON'T USE THIS ONE)Scroll down to the Shopping Game and you'll be able to use CTRL + click "See more" on the item and it will open this in a new tab; I prefer doing it this way instead of just clicking the link because it will keep you on the Shopping Game page instead of directing you to the new tab you just opened. Side note: you can't click the mouse wheel to open a new tab; it will just bring the page scroll thing up. See pic below (I already completed the game today, so it doesn't have the option to select it):
CTRL + click "See more" to open in new tab.I can now quickly open all the links in new tabs, then navigate to each one to see which item has the lowest price and that's it! The prices seem to be more consistent, although not 100%. I had one item say it was like $49 when it was actually $99 on the game and lost that round.
If you try to do the above steps using the Microsoft Start (MSN) shopping link, then you'll get a really slow pop-up that makes you click on a link to the item's website to see the price. This way seems to have more incorrect prices, especially when it's on Amazon. See pic below:
Pop-up from clicking "See more" on an item that wants you to visit the item's website.Doing the above steps with Microsoft Bing will bring up the item in Microsoft Bing Shopping with the price displayed and is always really quick to load. See pic below:
Item with price opened in new tab by using CTRL + click on "See more."I hope this post has made the task quicker and easier for some people to complete!
