When creating a new Teams account, either within the app or via Outlook, I do not have the option to make it a business account. It always defaults to a private account which cannot even be used with the new desktop app (MacOS). On the mobile app (iOS), the account can be displayed but it has completely different features compared to what I'm used to.
I need to create a new team with a file structure, not "communities" that have basically no structure at all...
Super frustrating, since all MS documentation seems to be outdated at the moment (documentation still refers to creating a free business account within Teams).
To be clear: I don't need any of the MS 365 features expect for creating a Team with an email address and file structure. This should be possible without purchasing any subscription!

I already have an inexpensive Microsoft 365 Family Subscription that cost me only $20USD through my Friends & Family Pass in the Microsoft eCompany Store.
But, I need, and want, to get a full Teams account, rather than just a free personal account… what is the best way to do this? Are there any discounted plans? Promos? What’s recommended? How? Where? Someone, please school me.
Thanks!
This is making me real frustrated now. I've been trying to sign up for teams using my personal Microsoft Account (@hotmail.com) several times since last night but can't for the life of me get things to work!
So - to give you all an overview - I got a meeting invitation from my dad last night so he could train himself on Teams. the usual. But getting teams to work on my end was a nightmare as Firefox isn't supported, which is my main browser, so I download the teams app for Windows and launch it.
When trying to sign in, I get a notification that I don't have access to Teams, even tho I pay for Microsoft 365 Family which includes Microsoft Teams. So I click the button in the app to register for teams, enter my email and select how I will use Teams and it just sends me right back to the "Incompatible Browser" screen. I think "Okay, it's probably set up then." and go to sign into the teams app on my PC again, only to be told that I have the wrong version of Teams which is only meant for use with School or Work accounts. Fine. I click the link, download the new version of teams and uninstall the old one. That does jack S#!t. It installed the same school and work version of Teams and sends me thrrough the same cycle again and again. I've gone through the same procedure now about 10 or 15 times, all returning me to the same infinite loop of sign up and download the wrong thing.
I've tried switching to Chrome to see if that fixes the issue, but to no help. Only thing that appears to work for me is using the damn web version of Teams which is honestly not ideal.
How the hell am I supposed to register and download the right version of teams when I keep getting sent the wrong things and keep going in the same loop? Any guidance in the right direction would be great.
EDIT: Oh yeah, I'm using Windows 11 if that makes a difference to how this all works
EDOT 2: Thanks to u/Mach-iavelli for giving me the link to the right download!
This is getting out of hand.
20 captchas to prove I'm not a robot. Each time one of them is impossible to solve:

And each time I have to retry all 20 of them because one was not correct.
I need a teams account for a job interview, any shortcuts?
