Projects: Mid-Century Modern Beach House — Kitchen Gallery & Interiors
The clients were looking for a soft and clean mid century modern feel with a touch of coastal. We kept the cabinetry clean and minimal but with a beautiful handle incorporating some of the Walnut wood that we repeated throughout the build. All of the cabinetry was custom made with solid maple boxes and dovetailed soft close drawers throughout.

Mid-Century Modern Beach House | British Institute of Interior Design
Our client, whilst clear in her brief that some of her existing treasured mid-century pieces needed to be incorporated, was really happy to have her boundaries pushed – this is ideal in terms of creating successful interior design that both fits the brief, and provides something truly spectacular, that she may not have considered. A big part of our brief for this project was bespoke joinery design. Our concept explored the idea of breaking up the expansive open-plan living area by creating a dual aspect joinery wall, encompassing a bio ethanol fireplace on one side, and the TV on the other in order to separate the snug area from the living room.

Any possibilities for an Ugly Beach House looking Mid Century Modern
I'm definitely wanting a new front door and considering enlarging the windows to the right of the door (living room) into something more modern. Since we are just starting out, cost is a factor in our projects, and a lot of the work we would be doing ourselves, except for any major renovations where a contractor would be necessary. Yall are are AMAZING at seeing potential, help please!!! ... Oh, this has loads of potential for MCM -- nice lines, concrete block (I love concrete block houses!), you're almost there already.

Mid-century coastal home gets a dreamy makeover in Southern California
September 23, 2020 - This mid-century coastal home has undergone a complete interior transformation by Lindye Galloway Design, located in Corona del Mar, a seaside neighborhood in the city of Newport Beach, California. A drool-worthy renovation that boasts clean lines, fresh ocean breezes and pops of brass, mixed together to create a dreamy coastal cocktail. For this project, the design team wished to honor the residence’s original mid-century modern architecture while integrating their signature contemporary coastal California motif.
