I'm trying to find a versatile warm, calming white that will pair well with mid century modern. I plan to have a lot of wood pieces and I would like to have a hint of blues in the room similar to the blue in the rug. I really want something versatile though, so if i ever change my mind about stuff I don't have to worry about paint. Also, the brand i'll be going with is Benjamin Moore, and I don't like bright whites.
Choosing a white paint is so stressful, and painting is so expensive. That only makes the pressure of picking the right color higher.
Update
I've tried a few swatches. I've narrowed down to 5 finalist: Woodland Snow, Adobe White, Swiss Coffee, Butter pecan, and I had them mix the a Benjamin Moore equivalent of Sherwin Williams Moderate White, which is what i currently have in my apartment. I like it alot in my current apartment but unfortunately new place does not have the same abundant floor to ceiling sunlight so moderate white doesn't really hit the same to me here
Let me start by saying I love the mid century modern look, and realllly wish to preserve this home the best I can.
We bought this beautiful MCM ranch last year. The exterior needs new siding, and a fresh coat of paint in the bricks. The windows are original Pela and are beautiful but no longer work. We are getting new windows as well. I am having a hard time deciding whether or not to keep the house white (how it was when we bought it- I know, I never would have painted original brick) or play around with the color a bit. I have attached a photo of the white version, which is how it currently looks. I’m also attaching photos of ideas we’ve been playing around with.
