I saw a few Miracle Sheets reviews that confused me. They said that the fabric was very thin, started pilling, and didn’t hold up well, which is pretty much the exact opposite of my experience. I’ve been using Miracle Sheets and they’re very durable, even after months of use and weekly washing (I know they say you don’t have to wash them as often as normal sheets but I just can’t 🤢)

The fabric isn’t thin, either. It’s not stiff, but it’s definitely crisp and strong feeling. Like, maybe not for everyone, but it seemed super unlikely that anyone would consider it thin. They’re definitely thicker than my Target sheets. I also saw that someone mentioned that they were “mostly polyester” which made no sense since mine clearly say 100% cotton on the tags.

So I did some digging and it turns out that there were actually three different “generations” of sheets. The first was 100% cotton, the second was a blend of lyocell and polyester, and the third is cotton again.

I’m guessing that most of the complaints are from people who bought the second generation, considering they’ve already switched back to cotton. Lyocell and polyester are both prone to pilling, and lyocell in particular doesn’t hold up well when wet – which means it’s maybe not the best option for something you wash regularly, like your bedsheets.

Anyway, if you’re also confused by the mixed reviews, that’s probably why. I’m guessing if you buy them now, you should get the 100% cotton third generation sheets. Just don’t buy them from somewhere sketchy. They’ll hold up a lot better than the second gen sheets seemed to.

That’s not to say that Miracle Sheets are for everyone. Like I said, I like mine, but everyone has different preferences, especially when it comes to sleeping arrangements.

What I like about my these sheets...

• They’re strong and durable. Like I said above, mine have been through plenty of washes and have seen plenty of use by me, my spouse, and a 95 lb dog who thinks every soft surface is his bed.

• They’re crisp and cool. Not fresh out of the fridge cool, but they pretty much always feel like the cool side of the pillow, which is why I bought them in the first place – I tend to run hot, especially at night.

• They’re soft and slightly silky feeling, but not slippery or satiny.

• They’re the only silver infused sheets I could find that came in more than four (usually boring) colors. They have about a dozen, though some are currently sold out.

• They look really nice on the bed, not sloppy or stretched out. My biggest pet peeve with some of those “t-shirt” sheets or bamboo sheets is that while they feel super soft right out of the package, they get all stretched and deformed after a wash or two. Even when I I make my bed it looks sloppy and I have a hard time getting the fitted sheet to stay in place. (Don’t even get me started on trying to fold them neatly) My Miracle Sheets haven’t shrunk at all, and the bed looks neat. They look and feel more like hotel bedding than dorm room bedding.

• The material does wrinkle (I know this is a con for some people) but it wrinkles in a really nice “lived in” way, kind of like linen. I actually really like that about them - they’re structured enough to look neat and tidy, but just lived-in enough to look inviting, natural, and cozy.

What I don’t like...

• They say they’re self-cleaning on the package, which is…c’mon. That feels unnecessarily gimmicky to me. Just say they’re antimicrobial. (PSA: please continue to wash your sheets, even if you put laundry day off a little longer than usual)

• Right now, a few of the colors are out of stock in certain sizes. Hopefully that means a restock soon, which means you’ll be pretty much guaranteed to get the newest generation.

• They’re a little pricey, especially if, like me, you’re used to getting your sheets at Target. They cost $204-$235 for sizes twin-king, and $250 for a “split king” set, which comes with two twin XL fitted sheets instead of one king-size fitted sheet (for people who have those dual-adjustable beds).

• This might not be that important to some people but I’m not a huge fan of their website. It’s kind of cluttered and confusing and feels cheap compared to the quality of the sheets I got.

Anyway, obviously not everyone wants the same thing out of their bedsheets, but if you’ve also seen a few reviews that seem to really contradict what others have said, it might be because of the different generations.

As far as I’m concerned, the third generation sheets live up to the hype. They’re cool and comfortable and have held up very well for me (even with some giant paws on them). They’re definitely a little on the pricey side, but I think they’re worth checking out. If you have experience with any of the other generations of fabrics I’m very curious to hear about them!

Don't waste your money on these overprice sheets. They're not soft or comfortable plus they don't do anything to keep me cool I am just as hot as I was in my other sheets on top of that the sheets have threads coming out. Their customer service is also horrible because I tried to get a hold of them and I don't get a response.
