Not sure how widespread this knowledge is or not but I feel it’s important people are aware of this. So about a month ago I bought tickets to see the Mets this upcoming Saturday the 13th. I’ve checked periodically to just look at the tickets and yesterday evening noticed they were suddenly forwarded to a random email without my knowledge.
Unable to get in contact with support since it was late in the day I then noticed this morning the tickets reappeared in my account barcode and all, but also showed a blank duplicate that they were forwarded at some point.
So this morning I called the Mets box office and it’s obvious they’re trying to be hush hush about things saying there was a data breach of the MLB ballpark app and that some high up supervisor had the tickets retracted and sent back to my account as if nothing happened and with no notice that there was a breach until I called them frantically. I was urged to reset my MLB password and would advise everyone here to do the same, this breach according to the rep first started last Saturday so it’s seems to be an in progress issue that’s yet to be resolved. Hope MLB adds two factor authentication ASAP and adds some sort of authentication method when forwarding tickets.
