Which smart lights work best in a gaming room?
Lightstrips are the obvious choice for your gaming room setup. They can be easily attached to the back of your monitors and fit single- or triple-monitor setups. They’ll create a stunning colorful halo effect against your wall. You can also bend and cut lightstrips to fit along your desk, furniture, and baseboards to give an immersive glow all around your gaming room. In addition to lightstrips, you can add any Philips Hue color-capable lamps to your gaming room light setup by adding them to your Entertainment area in the Hue app. Play light bars are a versatile addition to your gaming room — lay them down or stand them up alongside your monitor. Add a Signe table lamp at the side of your PC gaming setup for an added gradient of colorful light.
How do I sync my game room lighting with a PC or TV?
Once you’ve got gaming lights in position, you’ll need to sync them to your computer or TV so that they’ll dim, brighten, and flash along with all the on-screen content. Use the Philips Hue Play HDMI sync box with any TV, the Hue Sync desktop app for PCs, and if you have a Samsung TV from 2022 or newer at 60Hz and 120Hz, you can use the Hue Sync TV app.
