I bought a Phantom Prestige 500 a couple months ago. That black surface is filthy and does not come clean even if you spend a lot of time cleaning it after every cook. Grease spatters are almost impossible to clean off. More on reddit.com

Do NOT BUY a Napoleon Grill EVER! I bought a fancy $1100 Napoleon Rogue XT grill with 5 burners and a side sizzle zone for steaks. Got delivered on June 7th. I’m a family of 4. Normal summer grill use. On August 1st, the steel grill bed housing broke! The side where the clamp pivots for the lid broke off from the base leaving the lid unsafe and the grill un-useable. The lid fell off the back of the grill while it was 600 degrees. I’ve been trying to make a warranty claim to fix or repair since then without success. I spent several hours waiting on hold on the Napoleon customer service phone line. Do not buy from this Company. They do not stand by their products despite advertising a 15 year bumper to bumper warranty on the grill. More on reddit.com

The sear station on the weber is just another regular burner element afaik not IR. I'd recommend the Napoleon since it has both. Weber really needs to get the IR side burners going they're missing out. IR is an amazing way to cook certain things and missing on that would suck. The level of sear you get with IR is insane but also keeps the juices in. More on reddit.com
