Its so frustrating that every apple device has a netflix app, but Macs do not. Before people scream "just use the internet," I fly a lot for work, and you cannot use the internet in airplane mode. My iPhone, as well as my windows PC, has the app, where you can download a movie/show to watch while offline.
I don't like watching media on my IPhone during flights, because the battery drains too quick, which means I have to take my large and heavy laptop with me on flights. Its annoying, and seems unnecessary.

I travel on planes a lot, and since I don't have an iPad, I have to bring my laptop in my carry-on simply stream Netflix, which is highly annoying. Sure, I can use my iPhone, but the screen is small and I'd rather not waste the battery.
Travel would be a lot easier if my Mac can do what every other device can do, which is download a movie from Netflix, and then watch on Airplane Mode

I know it’s not quite the same as a native app, but the upcoming Mac OS Sonoma brings with it the ability to create an “app” from any website. It’s similar to how you can currently add any website as a bookmark on iOS, so that it has its own icon and is app-like on your phone. It’s essentially the same thing on Mac. Simply open Safari, go to a website, Netflix in this case, and go to ‘File > Add to Dock’ and voila, it at least now lives on your dock and is separate from your browser window; no more window/tab hunting! You need to voice your feedback to Netflix about this. When doing so don't even mention iPads and iPhones because they will just tell you to use those. Netflix are the ones not making their iPad app available on Apple Silicon Macs. They don't even need to recompile it. They just have to change a setting in their App Store developer account.
