With what's left of 2025 (only 1 month sadly), as it doesn't seem like anything major in Indian streaming shows, or any direct to streaming Indian movies will be released in December (if anything is though, please just update your post), please name what are your top 5-10 Indian streaming shows & streaming movies you have:
- watched from start to finish that you've most loved and most enjoyed in 2025 and please briefly say why, for anything named.
- watched and have hated and/or have been most disappointed with in 2025 for whatever reason and please briefly say why, for anything named.
So naming like 4 Indian streaming shows and 2 or 3 direct to streaming Indian movies you've loved and have most enjoyed this year and 4 Indian streaming shows and 2 or 3 direct to streaming Indian movies you hated the most this year (compared to any others watched) is ok.
It must meet the criteria below:
- It can be a scripted Indian streaming show that either streamed its 1st season this year, or while the show didn't start in 2025, it streamed a new season in 2025.
So shows like 'Panchayat' (that had its 4th season stream this year), 'Maharani' (which I haven't seen and probably won't, as a show about politicians won't appeal to me) that had its 4th season air on Sony Liv this year, 'TFM' (that had its long delayed 3rd season stream recently on Prime) and 'Paatal Lok' (that had its long overdue 2nd season stream on Prime in January this year) would count and can be named.
If you greatly enjoyed Asur seasons 1 & 2 and the cancelled one off Kaala Pani Netflix show (as you saw them for the first time this year), they don't count, as neither came out in 2025.
- It can't be any watched movie from Bollywood, Tollywood, Mollywood or Kollywood that got a 2025 Indian cinema release. It had to have bypassed cinemas this year, as the producers opted to sell it to Netflix, Prime, Hotstar, or Zee this year from January - December.
If you greatly enjoyed the Dhoom Dhaam & Baramulla movies (that the producers of both opted to sell to Netflix, instead of giving them a cinema release, that I think was a mistake for both), they'd count.
- It can't be anything watched on streaming that's in English from Hollywood or the UK.
- It can't be any type of Indian reality show.
If I was going to make my own list, the one off Sony Liv show The Hunt: The Rajiv Gandhi Assassination Case, Paatal Lok season 2, Khakee: The Bengal Chapter (basically season 2), Special Ops season 2 and the 2025 Netflix movies Dhoom Dhaam and Baramulla would be listed.
