What domain extension is most suited for a personal email address?
Is ".com" still the best domain extension? I ran an experiment with 1,500 people to find out how different TLDs perform.
I work with so many people that ask me “why .com” and my default answer is always “that is what people will assume, work with peoples assumptions.”
Now I have some data to back it up! Thanks for sharing

Almost every non-ccTLD will allow for your details to be hidden from the public, but if you're just going to be using it "internally" it's not like there's much chance for you losing the domain even if the details are not legitimate. Sub-domains are not limited by the extension of the domain, they're often limited so that the service provider can charge you more for them.
Just pick the one you like, really.
