Supposedly it's middle mouse button, but obviously I'm lacking that. In other browsers it was generally ctrl+click (on a link) to open a link in a new tab. But that isn't working.
Can't find any options in the settings either to change it. Is there a workaround, or an addon/extension for this?
Edit: To clarify, I'm not talking about Ctrl+T. That just opens a blank tab, or my last closed tab.
Is there a shortcut in Chrome which allows me to click on a link and it opens in a new window?
Shortcut for "open new tab on the right"

What is the open in new Tab Shortcut?

Clicking on the links and selecting "Open in New Window" is slowing me down. Its a repetitive task and the seconds are adding up.
I looked for a solution but could not find one.
Is there any option for a keyboard shortcut to "right click on a tab" > "open new tab on the right"??
Grabbing the mouse to do so sucks a lot.
Google should focus on things like usability (and not taking away useful stuff like the download bar at the bottom)!!
Don't think there is a native way of doing that in Chrome.
However there is an Chrome extension specifically for that – Tab to Window Keyboard Shortcut.
As mentioned, there doesn't seem to be a shortcut for popping the current tab out to a new window. But you can try clicking on the address bar then hitting Shift + Enter or shift-click a link.
The former duplicates the current tab in a new window. The latter opens the selected link in a new window. (Validated on Mac OSX 10.10.)

So, I found one of the possible solution is to use the extension to accomplish this task.
Extension:
New tab in group keyboard shortcut (obsolete)
This extension can read your browsing history
This extension provides exactly what I needed. the extension sets the shortcut to open the new tab in same tab group.
This chrome extension adds a New tab to the right (which automatically adds the tab to your current group) by the shortcut that you set for it.
So you can set it to Ctrl+T to overwrite the default behavior of chrome.
Hello,
I Hope you can help me with this:
recently Microsoft added a new feature to windows explorer, which is the Windows Explorer Tabs, so I tried to search for a shortcut to open any folder/folders I'm selecting in a new Tab on the same windows explorer window, but I couldn't find any shortcut for that on the internet after a little search,
can you help me please and tell me what is the shortcut to open folder/folders in a new Tab in the same Windows Explorer window if there is one for it?,
thank you.
It is middle click.
