I found it in a comment over at a recommended repack site and I was wondering, have any of you had success with it?
I downloaded a game from their website called "Tomato Way"
It comes with a VBE file that "decodes" the archive into an iso.
WHEN INFACT IT PUTS MALWARE ONTO YOUR PC AND LITERALLY RENAMES A DLL WHICH IS THE ISO TO AN ISO.
The VBE was encrypted, although was able to decrypt it with https://master.ayra.ch/vbs/vbs.aspx
Here is a screenshot of the VBE and what it does:

If you don't believe me, download this game, decode the VBE and see for yourself.
The file it infects you with is another VBE, which opens a silent window of a malicious site (update your pc . info) (DO NOT VISIT)

It first tries to do it in chrome. Then tries to do it in firefox.
Be careful when downloading games. If you get a vbs, or bat, make sure to decode it and READ WHAT IT DOES FIRST.
The actual game and installer appears to be clean though. It's just this "unpacker" that is infected.
Hi, we are the game developers behind "The Savior's Gang", a 4$ game on Steam that ocuppies around 2GB of space.
We know that our game is already free in some pages, we know that and we are not going against them, even when we know they are uploading our game with some small malware. But is fun how the web OceanOfGames have a post of our game and tells that the game is more than 5GB, how do they fill these 3GB? I cannot think in any malware that can take that amount of space xD
Link Ocean of Games Every link it provides links to social media and forums and such that seem to all promote Ocean of Games with no real substance - what seems to be a discussion about the site actually reads as an exceptionally well-scripted advert. Dangerously believable.
They link to a Facebook page, and the comments and likes are all strange. Loads of posts, very few comments and likes, and in places people have liked their own comments and posts. Looking at the profiles interacting with the page, it does look like many of them have been stolen.
If this is bullshit, it very nearly fooled me and I've seen through some very very real looking bullshit. If this is bullshit, I don't know what we can do but something must be done if they're spreading malware disguised this singularly well. Not to mention, the entity or entities behind it clearly have a lot of skill with this and as such could very well be potentially dangerous.
I downloaded cod:ghosts from it and when i try to install the setup, it tells me to disable the antivirus. Should i do it or just delete the files?
Downloaded bitdefender and ran deep system scan, a couple of tries lol and, u maybe wondering why onlu 6 minutes?? cuz I stopped once and now i continued e
EDIT : I ran superantispyware and bitdefender once again. It's clean!
I have been looking for a website To use for games. My friend suggested this one I would like to know if this site is safe to use. If you could provide any help I would be grateful.
I got 3 AV warnings and a bunch of downloads that I never wanted or looked for. I tried downloading Day Z and MW2 and instead I downloaded a bunch of random malware lol but I'm all good. Just letting everyone know. Stick to fitgirl repacks is still the best site for me. May not have what you're looking for but I've never had a problem there. Any other safe sites out there? Let me know. P.s one of the downloads was Segurazo which messed up my pc even though it claims to be an anti malware program (surprise surprise)
You know there's already a list of sites to avoid in the megathread and oceanofgames is one of it right ?
wait, really? I've been procuring a fair share of games from there since it's the only DDL site I found that has no hassle, no adfly, no misleading download button, etc.
~Warning~ Ocean of games pirates and copy's games from the real developer and puts them in .zips and then puts the game in a .iso format or a .torrent format making you need to get WinRAR PowerISO or UTorrent to open the file. They also give you access to get game files to edit the files in the game. They have Malware in the files when you install it and they have Adware on their website. They have Win32_Trojan_Gen and Win32_Trojans in their files so the site is bullshit.
Uh ... so not a question of IsItBullshit but a statement ... with a spoiler tag.
Thanks for answering a question no one asked.
Ive used ocean of games before and their equivalents and never had a problem.
Disregarding the website this is the opposite of what this sub is for. Why put it in a spoiler tag? Did you not even read that it's "IsItBullshit" and not "ThisIsBullshit"?
enjoy your malware

since igg is shit now, is oceanofgames trustable? and any other sites to download games without a torrent?
Ive tried Ocean of Games a lot. After being scammed by another website named gamergalaxy.net, i was desperate and tried to download FIFA 15 through Ocean of Games. The download took 15 GB and a lot of time but at the end, they told me to get a 'license key'. Anyway i clicked on the button and it took me to a fraudulent website that told me to do a bunch of surveys and download apps. I knew it was a scam. I dunno if this is just in my country India but it happened to me. Be safe from scams yall.
