Hi
Soon i will have to install Office 365 (Business Standard) on many computers that have a slow internet connection.
The computers are running Windows 10. And my idea is to provide the users with Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook and Teams.
Is there a way I can get the latest installer (with all latest updates) so that I can save it to a pen drive and use that instead of relying on downloading all the time?
Shabba,
You should be able to specify it in your config .xml. Here is what we use for the Monthly Enterprise channel:
A quick Google should get you the value for Semi Annual. (It might even be “SemiAnnual”.)
Hi,
I’m trying to download an offline installer version of Office Apps for Enterprise using the ODT tool. It downloads fine and creates the cab files etc but it seems to always download the current version channel - I am after the semi annual channel. Is there any way you can force\choose which version you download? Or is there an easier way to go about downloading the offline installer?
Thanks
Here are Microsoft's instructions for the offline installer:
- Select Install Office. If you have a Microsoft 365 subscription, you'll also need to select Install Office > on the Installs page.
- In the Download and install window, select Other options.
- Check the box Download an offline installer and select the language you want to install the Microsoft 365 apps in. Select Download.
When you go to office.com, this is the only link available "Install and more", there is no "Install office" on the landing page that I can see:
I select Install Microsoft 365 apps, and it takes me to another page with "Install Office":
Clicking this link does not provide any other window to select "Download an offline installer" as the instructions specify, clicking it only leads to downloading OfficeSetup.exe which is a small 7mb online installer, not the software itself. I need an offline installer, but it appears they removed it and it is no longer available.
Dear jnk45678765435676543456789,
First and foremost, thank you for posting your issue in our forum.
As you described in the post, you had all the office apps before updating but now for some unknown reason you are not able to find the office apps.
Could you kindly provide some information so that I could assist you more effectively?
- You mentioned update but did you update the Windows OS or the Office update?
- You also added that online installer is taking long time to download, did you try changing the internet connection from the current to the wired connection?
- The link provided on our website still works, I believe the link was not properly redirected so for your convenience I have provided a correct link below:

That’s not even close to done. It will get much bigger before it’s finished.
To install, change /download to /configure.
See the links posted above for the various options that ODT uses. Here’s one more link:

Newbie to installing Office 365,
What i’m looking for is a fairly simple set of instructions on how to download the offline installer to install Office 365 on multiple pc’s here.
I’ve tried the office deployment tool, saved to C:/ODT folder like suggested, went to a command line and ran setup.exe /download and get an error saying not enough space or no internet connection, the most i get is the office data folder with about 2mb of files in there. What am i missing, how can i download the installer files so i can deploy remotely?
After downloading, how do you assign the license to the user?
I know i’m missing something simple here. We have office 365 proplus for business.
Thanks.
