Chrome does not appear to export that activity, so it cannot be started by third-party apps.
Even if they did, that behavior could easily vary from version to version of Chrome for Android. Google does not document or support access to such activities from any of their commercial apps, let alone Chrome.

Opening chrome causes default app settings to open each and every time.

URL protocols exist in the registry as sub-keys to HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT.
For the poster, the key was HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\miroapp.
Deleting the key has solved the problem and Chrome no longer
ask to open these URLs in the desktop app instead of Chrome itself.

I was in the same situation as the original poster and solved the problem by following the steps in the guide.
Before I found the page, I tried these options but neither worked:
- Removing all entries that seemed to be related to the problem in "regedit.exe"
- Editing the configuration under "Apps" in the Windows settings
So I tried to solve this on my own and I give up haha. You know when you click a link for Instagram/Facebook/Twitter/Reddit on Google Chrome and it'll ask something like "open with Chrome or Facebook" and you can choose whether it opens in the browser or in the app if you have it downloaded? And then you can say to use that option always or just once. Well I always say just once because I may want either option depending on the situation, but today I accidentally hit always for opening a Facebook link in Chrome instead of in app. Now I can't click a link and tell Chrome to take me to the Facebook app. And I can't figure out how to change the setting to preferably ask me everytime or at the very least always open in the app.
All my Google searching is leading me to settings->apps->default apps->opening links->facebook and setting open supported links to always ask. But it's already set to that and it does nothing, I believe that's because it's referring to when I'm in the Facebook app already and click a link, do I want it to open in the app or in a browser.
So now I'm stuck. I restarted my phone and deleted and reinstalled Facebook. Nothin. Sorry for the wall of text for seemingly a simple issue.
tldr: (Pixel 5, latest Android update) I selected always open with Google Chrome when clicking a Facebook link in Chrome, can't find setting to make it ask again or change it to always open in Facebook app.
I have feedback hub disabled in group policy. I'm mainly interested if other's are having the issue. Too late to hide updates, they've all been pushed. The issue was not noticed immediately unfortunately. I will probably have to use wusa.exe to remove this month's cumulative update. The update itself is not uninstallable in WSUS. This may buy me a month to figure this out. We are a google oriented business and chrome is our go to. I have pushed many settings affecting the defaults on Windows. That shouldn't get in the way, never has until this update. When I open Edge, the default apps settings does not open. When I open Brave, the default apps settings does not open. Only when I open chrome.
Anyone else seeing this issue?

Since this affected 600 systems, I assume you are in an organization. I recommend reporting the issue through the Feedback Hub app to notify Microsoft.

You can use the “Show or Hide Updates” troubleshooter to hide the problematic update. Window Update won’t install hidden drivers or updates. Run the troubleshooter then please try to hide problematic update that will show in the list. You may try restarting your pc if it helps.

The title explains it all, I once was opening a game on Roblox in Google Chrome, when i decided to see what would happen if i checked "Always open these types of links in the associated app" and now i want to revert my decision, but i could not find an obvious way to do this, does anyone know how?
