because the number was associated to an existing account, no credit will be available Same thing happened to me. The free credit given with a new account is only usable with the 3.5 models, so I was going to buy $5 worth and hoped to end up with $10 for the API that I could use with the GPT-4 models. I did purchase $5 worth and ended up with the full $10 even after getting that message.
