Is the title still electronic? Or is it paper now? If it’s paper then dad has to sign that title over to you with a price of $1 (gift). If it’s still electronic, I believe the DMV can do it for you for like $80. Some website called etags may be helpful. More on reddit.com

IMO, what would make this simple is to transfer the title to just yourself in NV. NV allows either owner to do just this without the other on an OR title.

Since it's from parents just drive it down here with NJ plates and take car + signed over title to DMV. Then you can mail the plates back and have the parents do whatever NJ wants done with them. Obviously the plates and insurance need to be current for this to work. More on reddit.com
Transferring out of state vehicle from someone else to me
Should be able to consolidate. However, Florida, as far as I know, still charges an impact fee for the vehicle. Make an appointment with the county tax collector's office and take all of your paperwork including insurance for the car.
