I currently have normal queen sized bedding, but want to go a little bigger on the comforter. I was about to order an oversized queen duvet cover (96"x96") and an oversized queen comforter (98"x98") for it. I'm trying to figure out if it's normal for the comforter to be bigger than the duvet cover as their normal queen stuff matches in size. I've already emailed a few times with the company (Cuddledown) and they told me to call support. After 3 calls and 5 different support people who thought this was apparently an insane question they've never heard of, I was finally dumped into a voicemail.
I love Cuddledown's stuff, but this is a crazy support experience for what seems to be a simple bedding question for a bedding company. Any help here from the community would be great.

Is it easy to change a duvet cover?
I've always owned a comforter, and I'll be getting a new queen size bed soon and want to switch to a duvet + cover to make washing easier. I saw that there is a normal queen size duvet (92 x 88) as well as an oversized queen duvet at 98 x 98. However, the covers that are in my budget and the color I want are all 90 x 90.
I've read some posts suggesting to buy slightly larger duvets than covers to ensure your duvet cover fills out well, but I'm wondering if having 8-ish extra inches for length and width will be too much. Do y'all have any tips/suggestions/advice for this? I don't know if I need to just look for different covers or if the extra width/length will be fine. Thanks in advance!
