r/SEO on Reddit: Google Search Console ownership verification failed
August 10, 2024 -

I noticed when i googled my website, it doesn't show up.

I'm trying to get my website verified at, but the ownership verification keeps failing.

it showed me a DNS TXT from my google workspace that I use with my website

I know that this verification takes a few days, but it's been over a week and still the same result.

I follow the instruction for verifying domain ownership via DNS record

and paste the data into a txt file in my custom record

and it still doesn't work. It's been over a week, what's the problem?

r/beehiiv on Reddit: for those who are struggling on ownership verification in google search console, here's what works for me
May 31, 2024 -

So I finally got through the ownership verification in my google search console and here's what I did.

  • make sure your google tag manager, google tag assistant, and google analytics account all function properly (chatgpt is your best friend, beehiiiv has videos on these, just google "google tag beehiiv" or "google analytics beehiiv")

  • in website builder -> setting -> pixels tab, there's this field called Google Search Console Verification Code all the way at the bottom. NOW LISTEN CAREFULLY. Go to your google search console and then verify ownership method, one of the method is HTML tag. click it, it will guide you to copy something like this

<meta name="google-site-verification" content="kkajaskjfjkdsfkjdsajkf" />

NOW, COPY kkajaskjfjkdsfkjdsajkf to the Google Search Console Verification Code in Beehiiv and you are done!

Hope you have a wonderful day!
