Wife got a traffic ticket downtown Denver for rear ending someone at 5mph. She's no-contest, she screwed up and just wants to pay the ticket, it's not that big of a deal. However, she can't seem to find the ticket online via this site: https://www.denvercountycourt.org/pay-fines-online it always just says "No Records Found" for her ticket.
I have tried calling several times but have literally never reached a human at either the Denver court system or at the Denver county traffic line (I have tried 3 times for each; the court system line is always just on hold saying all reps are unavailable for over 30+ minutes, and the Denver county traffic line just goes to voicemail).
She received the ticket on 6/6, it is now 6/12 - are we trying too early to pay? Should we be waiting longer to pay? Anyone know anything about this?
I am looking for advise on a speeding ticket I receieved today. F25, have never been pulled over or have received a speeding ticket before, clean record, etc. Was exiting the highway on Auraria Parkway and scan says going 46 mph in a 30 mph zone.
My ticket says original points is 4 but reduced to 2 points if I pay the ticket before the court date. Ticket amount is $160. I do not have a problem paying the ticket amount as I was unintetionally speeding, but I am more concerned with pleading guilty to the 2 points and having my insurance skyrocket.
Would it be worth it to go to court to try and get reduced points by acknowlidging guilt and to inquire about taking a defenseless driving course? Does going to court often reduce the amount of points versus just paying online beforehand?
