Pixel 5 sage in Pela green case
I have just opened my green pela case and put it on my pixel 5 (after waiting 2 weeks for it to arrive) while I really like the idea and the colour combination, the case is just too loose on the phone. As others have said and some videos I saw, the pela case can just pop off the phone when dropped leaving you with no protection. Unfortunately in addition the case is pulling away from the phone around the lock and volume buttons like it's been stretched, the cutout isn't lining up with the power button either. I will be contacting pela about the fit and the defect, but will start looking for other options. Just a real shame as the colour compliments the sage phone perfectly and I love the ethos behind the company (even if the phone is 1000x more polluting than the case anyway). If you are looking for colourful cases, I am considering ordering one from The Dairy as they let you customise and with their armoured case perhaps this will let me pick a nice sage/teal! Will update you if I do on how the fit is. Otherwise looks like it'll be a Spigen/caseology case for me.

Pela phone case fell apart shortly after a year
I wanted y’all’s thoughts as this is something I’ve been concerned about for years. I have an iPhone. I have found Pela’s cases to not last very long and I have to get a new one in at most a year, but have had ones last much less. They’re expensive, but I worry because at least they’ll break down vs. a plastic one adding to the mountains of trash. Which is more sustainable? Because there’s also the shipping and production. I think I’ve gone through three cases as they all rip or come apart.
