I wonder what this guy is up to these days. No iPhone 17 videos and he is inactive for the past 8 months
Anyone tried the Phone Rebel Gen-6 Case?
Thoughts on Rebel Gen 5 a few days later...
Phone Rebel Gen 7…..
Videos
I used their case on my iPhone 12P for four years, but I’ve heard their recent few cases have been lackluster. Anybody tried these? Alternatives? Big fan of the carbon fiber.
I got both the regular Gen 5 and the Frosted. The frosted is really a beautiful case with so much to love. The only reason I'll be returning it is because the grips on the side offer basically no grip compared to the aramid version. It's weird. They look the same. They feel nothing alike. Very slick by comparison. I'm a grip guy so it's not going to work for me.
As for this aramid one. I have had a ton of cases over the years because I like to try them all. This may be the most thoughtfully designed and best case I've ever put on any device I've ever owned.
The fit of the case is so good. It offers basically zero pull, even around the power and volume buttons. The grips on the sides feel perfect in hand and offer a great deal of confidence, but the phone is still very easy to get in and out of pockets. Swiping from all sides is incredible because of the tapering but there's still a ton of screen protection from the "claws" on the corners. Pinky comfort (if you care about it, which a lot of people do) is second to none. The buttons are perfect and incredibly tactile. The aramid on the back is soft but offers nice texture.
The Phone Rebel people seemingly left nothing to chance and thought about every last detail to create a truly great phone case that is worth every penny. 10/10 highly recommended.
