Does Pratt and Whitney have any manufacturing jobs left in the state like Sikorsky?
They still have a good amount of engineering and manufacturing in East Hartford. All of their engine assembly and engine test is done in Middletown. Collins up in Windsor Locks also does a good bit of welding too. I know I'm going all over the state but while not aerospace, the other one would be EB. Their welders do very well, albeit they are also highly skilled.
More on reddit.comI need some advice. Ive put in almost 30 applications within the past 4 months to different locations and have only had luck receiving an interview one time. Ive heard stories of people putting in 70+ before they get in. What exactly is it that seems to make it so notoriously difficult to get in there. Should I try to get a bunch of references from the people in the union? Can anyone give me any pointers?
