So i believe that the recall is about engine parts the are wearing slightly quicker than they should, which yes make the chance of an engine failure more likely (bear in mind these parts are regularly inspected and replaced if any damage is found), but unlike in the movies, when an engine fails the plane doesn’t fall out of the sky, the damage is contained within the one engine, the rest of the plane and other engine will be okay, The a320 series (incl the a321neo) are some of the safest aircraft in the skies today, they and perfectly capable of flying on one engine if the unlikely occurrence of an engine failure does happen, there are around 100,000 flights taking off and landing a day, all flown by trained professionals, who’s main goal is to keep the aircraft, the passengers or whatever’s onboard safe, if it was such a dangerous profession, people wouldn’t want to do it. Your in good hands, wether it’s British Airways or Ryanair, they all are trained to the same high standards. What do yall think of Pratt Whitney Engines?
As a whole I think they're fine. There's going to be good and bad employees at any company. I've seen plenty of nightmares and horror shows with gulfstreams coming straight out of Maintenance from Savannah. Barring the 308A coatings eroding very early, their engines don't have any more or less flaws than Rolls, GE, Honeywell, or even Garrett. I will add though that their being under Textron's umbrella adds a caveat to their support and internal infrastructure given Textron's less than ideal business practices and customer support over the years. As a person with bad flight anxiety and with a planned flight on a Airbus A321 neo this week, I am, to say the least, really worried about the actual safety of my flight. I read the articles and I don’t understand what the issue seems to be and how urgent it is to fix it. In other words, I am terrified that my plane could fall mid flight because of an engine failure. Honestly, what I am looking for is reassurance that it will not happen. I am totally ignorant on this topic so any technical explanation is very welcome. I think that to hear from more educated people than me would be really helpful.

The chance of a dual engine shutdown is so astronomically low as to be almost zero. Even the chances of one engine shutting down are very very low, and a twin-engine aircraft can continue to fly and land perfectly safely on one engine. Also note that for a twin-engine airplane to be certified legally (at least in the USA) it has to be able to climb at 50 feet per minute at maximum takeoff weight with one engine shutdown (in the event of an engine failure on takeoff)
