I mean I’m a patient person, but was curious to see if anyone else has the same delivery time frame? Mine is saying Oct 17-Oct 24. 🤷♂️
Edit: Why are people so bitter for downvoting a post asking a simple question?
Hi All, I have always done pre-orders with Apple but I’m facing the same issue with my Go5G Next plan not showing as eligible on the Apple site.
With this, was wondering how is the experience preordering on T-Mobile? Any quirks and do they have a lot of inventory available on launch day?
Sharing this as I'm sure there are going to be many questions over the coming days on Iphone pre-orders.
Plan: My wife and I have 2 lines on the Go5G Plus Plan
My wife is trading in her iphone 14 Pro Max for the 16 Pro Max. We simply don't do this through Tmobile because the customer service is usually poor and going through the Apple Store gives you an unlocked phone from day 1, whether you go with an Equipment Installment Plan (EIP) or not.
For context, my wife and I hate debt and monthly payments so we never use the EIP as a form of paying for the phone - however, with Tmobile's discounts (a total of $800, with $400 occurring as a direct trade-in credit, and $400 as monthly credits over 24 months), you have to use an EIP - so this is what we did.
Through Apple's website, we setup the order, got the EIP through Tmobile (all on the apple site), and directly understood the impact it would have on our monthly payment before confirming the order.
What apples site allows you to do, that TMO does not, is make a down payment and see how this affects your payment. We made a down payment of $400 plus taxes and this gave us a net-0 increase in our monthly bill.
Of course, if you don't want to make a down payment you simply pay for the taxes and move on.
I cannot recommend this process more. It is so much more simple than working with TMO, and Apple makes it simple, and clear what you are paying for.
With the iPhone 17 Pre Orders now live we have a lot of people that have questions or just posting they were able to place their order, however to keep the sub organized we ask that ALL posts pertaining to the iPhone 17 launch be posted here.
Currently users on Go5G may have issues where they are not showing the trade in credits on their EIP from T-Mobile. Right now this appears to be a T-Mobile issue and just have to wait for them to fix the problem. However if this is NOT affecting your ability to purchase (Ex needing a down payment) Then you can place your order and T-Mobile's system will auto correct this and provide you with the correct trade in amount. This has been confirmed by T-Mobile. Ordering from Apple only gives you the $700 Apple Trade in.
As well if you are on the Go5G Next Plan or the Experience Beyond plan you MUST purchase the iPhone from T-Mobile directly, you cant use Apple.
If you order from Apple you must have SIM protection disabled, you can re enable it after you order the phone but to place the order it must be disabled.
EDIT: It appears the Go5G trade in credit has now been fixed with Apple, you can now get the full trade in value that was advertised. For those that place the order this morning before the fix I will keep you updated. We have reached out to T-Mobile PR to get a final word. I have personally been told 2 different things from T-Force, From no I am stuck with the $700 trade in credit, to another rep saying dont worry the systems will auto correct and I will get my full $900 trade in value. I will update this post when I get an official word.
Hi guys! Can someone explain to me, like I’m 5, what’s the real difference between pre-ordering the iPhone through Apple with T-Mobile financing versus doing it directly through the T-Mobile app?
Is it just about getting the unlocked device when you go through Apple, and that’s it?
I pre-ordered last night and traded in my iPhone 15 Pro Max. It originally showed my monthly payment would be $4. I made a $98 down payment (the highest option it allowed), and now it shows $0.05 per month. I actually wanted my monthly bill to stay the same when doing the down payment.
So I’m lost — what’s the real difference between going through Apple versus directly through T-Mobile, or is it just about how Apple and T-Mobile apply the credits? Thanks!
