looking for the best ps5 console deals for black friday and cyber monday this year. saw some small discounts at major retailers but want to hear what everyone else has found. are there any bundles worth grabbing or should i just stick to the console alone? if anyone has tips on stock alerts or stores that usually restock, drop them here. keeping it simple, just trying to score a deal without paying extra for useless add-ons.

Started checking a few places as Black Friday and Cyber Monday get closer. Nothing crazy yet on console only deals, but I’ll keep tracking and post any solid finds here. Hopefully we can grab something before stock runs out.

The best deal going on a new console is $100 off. That’s Sony’s deal, and they discounted all consoles (OG, Slim, Pro) that much. The only way you can get it cheaper is if a retailer has an additional deal. Or you get it used.

Hey everyone, I’m debating whether I should buy the original PS5 right now or wait until Black Friday.

I’ve heard mixed things about whether stores like GameStop or other retailers offer discounts or Black Friday deals on the PS5 (original or any version, for that matter). Some say they don’t really do deals on consoles like the PS5, even on Black Friday, but I’m not sure if that’s true.

Do you think I should just buy the PS5 now to avoid missing out, or is it worth waiting until Black Friday to see if there are any sales or bundles? If you have any experience or know what GameStop has done in the past, I’d love to hear your

Anybody else disappointed with the Black Friday sale on the ps store?? There are a couple decent sales on some of the newer games like 25% off metaphor, but a lot of the discounts I’ve seen before.
Aaaaand 99% of the games are a lot cheaper as a physical copy. You wouldn’t have to buy many games to justify buying a disc drive as you save a lot of money buying physical copies over digital.

Did anyone else buy a digital ps5 to save money only to realise that if you plan on buying more than 5 games the disc drive version is cheaper.

The trouble is that digital games can only currently be bought through Sony on PlayStation consoles. If governments regulated that it’s unfair to consumers and allowed games to be sold directly from retailers the way physical games are, then we’d have less of an issue. I agree physical disc is the way to go, because you can buy it cheap even second hand and then sell it again, to minimise your net spend.

Right now for black Friday the PS5 is on sale for $550 but just recently in Canada Justin Trudeau has announce that starting December 14 purchases on goods will be tax free. For $550 plus the 13% tax it will cost $621.5 but if I get it on December 14 for the retail price it will cost just 650 with no tax added, it will just be $29 dollar more expensive then if I were to get it during the black Friday sale. Will there be a chance that the PS5 will go on sale again during boxing day so I can take advantage of the no tax.

This is cool. I thought it was just for the GST but it looks like it's an HST break as well. Assuming the PS5 goes for 100 bucks off during the Boxing day/week sales you'll save some $$$. Only drawback I could see is fierce competition for supply akin to 2020/2021 as everyone else will be wanting to take advantage of the tax savings as well.
