Is there any good website for sourcing public domain images and only public domain images?
That really depends on what kind of images you're looking for. I know there are a few museums that put their galleries up as free image resources, and a few niche-purpose sites like OpenGameArt with PD resources like those in this search , but those might not meet your use needs. More on reddit.com

Pexels, Pixabay (note these are not true public domain but more similar to unsplash where it’s just free license) and I also like New York Public Library (NYPL) public domain search engine for images and stuff. Check out r/publicdomain as well. More on reddit.com

September 28, 2020New PD image resource: “Public Domain Image Archive”, a curated collection of 10k+ out-of-copyright historical images. Some very cool browsing interfaces! Well sourced, and with good re-usage info.
It's another very useful resource, but still contains some of the same (slightly infuriating) problems which other resources seem to be happy to live with - artists, especially some notable ones, aren't credited, with the images being refereed to as 'by Anonymous', making searches for specific creators hit or miss. If the site is simply reusing information from online sources this is understandable, but still... some of the images are signed. There are also very notable works omitted - a search for "curate's egg" doesn't turn up the source of the saying, although the drawing has been referenced somewhat extensively. A good start, all the same, and it can always improve in future. Really not sure how I feel about the search interface at the moment, though... I'll have to return to the site later and ponder why that feels somewhat awkward. More on reddit.com

I have been using Wikicommons, which has alot of good old and new public domain photos which are of course free to use. However as everything on there is user uploaded and things put on there are usually on uploaded to be Wikipedia articles themselves, it has a very limited library I find.
And looking up Public domain image websites, you get a bunch of different ones charging you $30 for stock images lol.
So does anyone know if there is such a place that hosts all/nearly all public domain images that are accessible for free, or is such a place in the same realms of Narnia in terms of its reality
