Here's what I'm at so far. Probably closer to $3k with all other tiny accessories. I'm sure some other people in here have rigs that are triple the price! (Not including PC since I also use it as a main computer as well). Hoping to upgrade to triples and better pedals though I think just for casual simming I'm fine where I'm at.

As much as you are willing.. Playsteat challenge and a logitech g29 will set you back about £400.. Or you can spend £3000 on higher end gear. Best to start low then if you like it, upgrade...if you don't, then your not stuck with a 3k hole in your pocket Edit- upped the total by 100 because I was off a bit

The secret with those is that they're not really particularly high-tech. They're certainly expensive, probably somewhere between £2k and £5k depending on the exact specs, but they're mostly made from off-the-shelf consumer sim racing gear, no F1 magic involved. The wheel, for example, is a Fanatec Direct Drive that you could go online and buy yourself, the frame and seat is made by a company called Playseat and is also available to buy, and at a guess I'd say the pedals are probably Fanatec Clubsports.

Actually those simulators aren't very high tech, they're quite accessible to a normal fan, you'd spend around 4k €. If you want to see what's an high tech simulator, my university one costs more than 10 millions € (among the system itself and installation), and let's say it has a couple more features

The cheapest new sim racing setup would cost you around 35k, the logitech g26 and the H shifter. You can try and find cheaper options in the used market too. A proper sim racing setup with DD wheel and a racing seat will cost north of 1Lakh.

I got my setup (Logitech G920) from the US and bought the Logitech gear shifter from India, so overall it cost me around 21K (G920~16K, Shifter~5K)
