Raytheon Contractor in Antarctica at Amundsen-Scott South Pole Station
The guy is real. He wintered in 2011. http://www.southpolestation.com/trivia/10s/2011.html He was a plumber from memory and a pretty useless nut job back then. His claims are made up BS. More on reddit.com

Eric Hecker who worked in Antarctica for Largest Aerospace company Raytheon and saw powerful machines that track UFOs, & communicate crafts in deep space, cause earthquakes, and there's massive green lasers shooting out to the sky.
Sounds like the sort of bullshit scientists would feed to a gullible tradesman annoying the heck out of them. What's that? That's our deep space fleet communication laser. It's green to match our reptilian overlord's blood More on reddit.com

IT in Antarctica? Has anyone worked there?
I wintered over as a Sys Admin at Amundsen–Scott South Pole Station in 2012. It was a boring job as you just waste your time waiting for them to come and get you in the spring. You do get to check the box on your bucket list of I have been to the south pole. They pay for everything so you come home with a pocket full of money. I spent 3 weeks in New Zealand before I flew home. More on reddit.com
