After years of using a chroma/deathadder v2 I yester bought a Razer Deathadder V3. After being excited with my new mouse I was dissapointed to find out I can not use Synapse 2 anymore.

I need Synapse 2 because of the acceleration function. I feel like I am awful without it. I read that the acceleration function on Windows 10 does nothing, but I feel like that is false. I used my old mouse and tweaked the function and it did have a big inpact.

Is there any possibility to connect my new Deathadder V3 to Synapse 2? Any help would be very appriciated, I wouldnt like returing this new mouse, it feels pretty nice.

I have a hackintosh, and bought a Tartarus v2 a year and a bit ago specifically because my 2012 Mamba always worked fine with Synapse 2.0 (v 1.87). I thought that if I kept my system at Mac OS 10.14, everything would continue to work perfectly. Most days I've been in gaming heaven.

Then today, Synapse started to go haywire. Razer had brought out an update to Synapse 2.0 (v1.88) but the update can only be applied through Synapse 2.0, and can't be installed directly. Doing so crashes Synapse 2.0, which then re-starts and demands you update it.

Caught in it's failed update loop, the app would re-open and take top position on my desktop, making it impossible to do anything else other than futilely ask it to try updating again. I found there was no way to download the update directly, so I uninstalled the misbehaving software and got on the horn to Nvidia customer support.

Razer haven't supported Synapse 2.0 for Mac for a while, but now they have decided the best way to make money is to break the software they were't supporting, and us c**ts that bought hardware that requires it are s**t out of luck until they can come up with a replacement, or we go out and buy a new rig. They actually said that I shouldn't be worried, because the product could still be used in a generic way (the main 'generic way' to use a left-hand keyboard/joystick you can't map any of they keys on, is as a paperweight).

So if you reply, I'm looking for 2 things:
1 - an app for Mac that will support the Tartarus v2 (I'm creating a son file for Karibiner Elements that may let me use most of the keys - if anyone has any, please post a file so I can import it).

2 - the home address of the head of customer service for Razer, so I can take a s**t through his letterbox when I'm next in the neighbourhood.

They should put a new motto under their logo.

Well this is depressing news, I have used my Orbweaver for over a decade now, I'm happy and comfortable with it.

But now that they have decided to discontinue SYnapse 2, it has become a paperweight.

I would still be able to usue it if the team at Razer who programmed it didn't decide to make Buttons 11 and 16 Capslock and Shift, instead of the more sane solution to make it Shift and CTRL by default. That was what my entire profile was, but now it's inaccessible. Synapse 3 doesn't support Orbweaver, so I can't port my profile to that, and Synapse 4, it is the same problem.

With the upcoming discontinuation of Synapse 2, I'm wondering how I’ll be able to manage keys and macros for my Razer Nostromo and old Naga devices.
Is there any alternative software I can use to configure the keys on these devices?

What would i use instead of synapse 2 for my left handed razer mouse and my black widow full keyboard? I had issues setting up both of these when i origianlly got them but eventually i worked out the bugs, had them or a version of them for years.

Afaik the mouse isnt supported by ANYTHIGN OTHER than synapse 2. Am a wrong? i believe i tried to use synapse 3 and it didnt recognize my mouse and sometimes my keyboard. Both are at least a year or 2 old. (replaced my mosue with a multi button mouse of the same ilk and my keyboards have always been black widow edition green switches.)

The colors mostly work but lately havent been always cooperating. right now by keyboard and mouse are cycling colors rather than staying red like my pc does.

Any help or ideas appreciated. Been a loyal supporter of razer since i found out they have one of the only good left handed mice on the market, if not the only one ive ever found and i like their clicky keyboard switches.

I formatted my computer and wanted to reinstall Synapse 2.0. However, when I try to download it from the official site (https://www.razer.com/synapse-2), it downloads the installer for Synapse 4.0.

According to Razer, they still support Synapse 2.0, meaning it's not been discontinued. (https://mysupport.razer.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/1358/~/will-razer-stop-supporting-razer-synapse-2.0)

Does anyone still have a legitimate installer for Synapse 2.0?

I just received the news...I knew this day would eventually come...Synapse 2...end of support to the best Synapse Razer ever had 💯 My Kraken 7.1 V2's from 2016 are still my daily headset. 🙏

So it seems, Synapse 2 just cannot open in Windows 11. I've tried everything, reinstalling, changing DPI & compatibility settings. I can't get it to open the window and even login. It shows up in the task bar overflow and refuses to open. It's the only app i'm having trouble with so far, in Windows 11

To reiterate: I'm using Razer Synapse 2 for my legacy devices, Razer Anansi Keyboard and Naga 2014 mouse. After upgrading to Windows 11, I can't even get Synapse 2's window to open up and login. I've tried reinstalling and many compatibility modes. Am I shit out of luck?

was about to reply to some of you with angry comments for spreading misinfo because i contacted Razer and they assured me they're not updating legacy software for Windows 11.

Then i tried it again, and again, and finally, i figured it out. This definitely didn't work on the early versions of Windows 11 but it appears to have changed. I reinstalled Synapse 2 legacy as someone in the comments did, but that wasn't enough. I'm on the latest version of W11.

I tinkered around and changed the High DPI scaling override-
located in the Compatibility Tab of RzSynapse.exe Properties.
Make sure the Override Box is checked,
click the dropdown menu and switch to "Application."
Mine was initially set to System Enhanced.

Yours may have worked without a flaw because it was already set to Application for DPI Override.

This was my initial theory to get it working again when first installing Windows 11 but no change of DPI worked then nor any compatibility setting. Things have finally changed!

Pretty much what it says in the title. My headset - a Man 'O War Wireless - uses Synapse 2, was never added to Synapse 3/4 but also does not offer a way to export my settings, so how do I backup my settings so that things will continue to work going forward - on newer Windows installs, on newer computers? The core functions of the headset do not require Synapse - the headset/wireless adapter show up as a generic USB device and work perfectly fine on Windows/Linux/macOS without the driver, but the 7.1 stuff and calibration/RGB functions are only available in Synapse...

Of course, support is useless - non-native English speakers who are not technical and do not have the ability to assist with this, which is not unexpected for this scale of problem but there is also no other public way to raise a complaint at all. Typical useless, rude garbage I've come to expect with extremely cut rate customer service - talking over me, unable to open tickets, struggling to form quasi-valid English sentences. Useless.

I'm a Razer Orbweaver user (have used them for years). Does anyone know of a good Synapse alternative? While it wasn't the greatest piece of software, it did largely do what I wanted.

Is it worth downloading the Razer Synapse 2.0? I have a friend who recommended that I don't download it because he said that it takes way too much CPU processing power, lags the internet, is counted as malware and slows the bootup time.

Does anyone else have any feedback on the Razer Synapse 2.0 and on whether or not I should download it?

Was having a bad day today and just really wanted to finish off the day to play some games. Except, Razer wanted to update my sound card. Okay fine, updated and restarted. No audio coming from my headphones. Took an hour of trying to figure out the problem, uninstalled Razer Synapse eventually, and now everything is fine.

What is the benefit of using this software? It used to be the reason my games would exit out of window due to some annoying 1 second pop up it had. What does it do for me?

What kinda backwards logic makes it mandatory to install a shitass application that needs me to log in just to change the fucking lights on my god forsaken keyboard? Not to mention it logs me out every time it feels like it and wants me to re enter my password, it also boots me out of the game I'm playing just to tell me it fucking logged off again, and it's buggy as shit, barely even works sometimes. Please fix this god damn app razer and make it so that its just one fucking click to change the colors on my keyboard and not bullshit like needing to log in for a simple ass app. Why does it need to be connected to my account or the internet for that matter? Bullshit is what it is. One of the worst apps I' ve used in recent times, borderline bloatware.

I was set on buying a Deathadder v3 but luckily remembered to search about its config software. Does it still require you to be online and more importantly let the app run in background for your settings to stick? Thats going to be an extreme departure for me from just using rivalcfg on the occasion i want to experiment with DPI setting on steelseries. Ive found openrazer but it seems to be linux only, and razercfg but its abandoned. Is there any other alternatives?

First of all, for some reason, you have to restart your computer after you download it. I don't care that much about restarting.

So I have a MacBook Air 2020, which has no USB ports so I just use an adapter. Adapters will not work with Razer Synapse.

I decide to ignore that for later and then it tells me it has a security update, RIGHT AFTER I DOWNLOADED IT??

Then I was just searching the web and- It gives me a notification that it has another update even though I deleted it. At this point, I don't trust it so I try seeing if there is a way to fully delete it. There is an uninstaller but it wants permissions, as I said "At this point, I don't trust it."

You will not be able to use it and it is just annoying.

So I just bought a Razer BlackShark V2 X (3.5 jack version, PC version, black) because my Razer Kraken Ultimate broke, but when I open up synapse it straight up isn't there.

* I've restarted my PC, uninstalled and reinstalled razer synapse 4, unplugged and replugged multiple times, registered and turned on spatial audio. Still no luck. Also, when looking in sound settings, my device is called realtech HD audio second output. Also 7.1 surround sound doesn't seem to change anything, probably because my device isn't connected to synapse.

If any of you can help that would be much appreciated, thanks!
