I was charged for a 70$ subscription after a free trial , can I get a refund ?
I’m glad you submitted the refund request, it takes about 48 hours for a response. If you get denied and that was your first time requesting a refund for this, you can request a refund denial request and they will essentially just do the same process, you’ll get an answer in another 48 hours. Do not do a chargeback with your card company as this violates apples terms and conditions and they can permanently disable your account where you would lose all of your stuff and have to create a new Apple account. If it’s approved tho, you’ll get the money back within 30 days. You can always go to https://reportaproblem.apple.com to submit / check any refund requests ! More on reddit.com

How lenient is Apple with app refunds?
I think it depends on your jurisdiction and the way you paid. If in the United States and used Apple gift cards (or similar), they might deny it. If you used a credit card, they might approve it. More on reddit.com

How likely are Apple to accept a subscription refund request?

A good rule of thumb for the future. Whenever you start a trial subscription immediately go into subscriptions and cancel it.

Hi everyone , I'm new to Apple ecosystem , just got an iphone last summer , I installed this app called Opal to help me with focus , I wasn't planning on using the premium version , they offered access to premium features within a week , my understanding was that after the free trial ends , I will be simply locked out of the premium features and continue to use the free version , however yesterday I was charged for 70$ !! I immediatly cancelled the subscription and asked for a refund through apple's website . How much likely that I will get a refund ?

February 25, 2025 -

I needed to download the Adobe Acrobat app to help fill out these forms for a staffing agency, and a subscription is required with a 3 day free trial. I’ve been busy moving the last few days and completely forgot to cancel it until I saw a notification from my PayPal saying I got charged a whole $76 for the yearly subscription.

I requested a refund from Apple support, and this is my first time requesting a refund. I’ve heard mixed reviews about Apple being lenient with refunds. Is there a chance I may get refunded? I know it’s my fault for not cancelling immediately which I usually do with free trials, but I’ve been so caught up with moving and running around these last few days that I completely forgot.

EDIT: Checked my refund update, they’re refunding me!
