Soundlink Revolve refuses to charge (again)
Soundlink Revolve 2 not charging or powering on.
while using new Teams, my bluetooth speaker (Bose soundlink revolve 2+) disconnects by itself after some time while in the call.
I have a problem with the soundlink revolve 2 speaker. I updated the software. I use the original Bose cable and charger but the speaker does not charge, the orange charging light flashes, the speaker does not turn on. What else should I do?
Why is my Bose SoundLink Revolve II speaker not turning on?
How do I connect my Bose SoundLink Revolve II speaker?
How do I update the firmware on my Bose SoundLink Revolve II speaker?

Any ideas?
I searched and saw some suggestions saying to reset it by holding down the multi-function button for 10 seconds until the lights flash, or to do a factory reset by holding down power for 10 seconds. Did all of that, still not charging.
I saw a suggestion saying it could be the charger, or the cable, or even a broken charging port on the speaker. If I plug it into a USB port on my computer the light comes on and the updater can read the firmware so I know all of that is working. Still won't charge :(
It has been suggested that updating the firmware fixes the charging issue. The last few times this "smart" speaker mysteriously decided to stop charging on me (yes this has happened multiple times) I updated the firmware and it fixed it. Yay! Not so this time. Updater says the firmware is already up to date, so there's nothing else left for me to do.
Alright, figured I would plea for help one last time before I accomplish one last final thing with this speaker.... and I can see the eyes rolling now, but the text post instructions say "speak your mind" and I need to say this anyway: Never again will I purchase another BOSE product. I've had more frustrations caused by this OVERPRICED CRAP!! than any cheap non-"smart" speaker. 300 bucks down the drain.
Now if you will excuse me, unless someone comes through with a miracle in the next 24 hours, I'm going to take this overpriced paperweight to my garage, where I will proceed to smash it into a million pieces with a sledge hammer. This will give me more joy than I ever got out of this thing before :)
I bought a Soundlink Revolve 2 new in 2019. I used it pretty frequently as a garage/patio table speaker but for a while it sat in a desk drawer. I am going camping this weekend and wanted to bring it along. The device will not power on, and shows no sign of life when plugged in. I tried many different combinations of micro USB charging cable and various AC adapters (including original ones that came with device). Nothing works. Is there a battery replacement or charging port replacement for this? I hate that a $200+ speaker just up and dies like this for no reason.
edit: I looked back on my receipt from BestBuy and it's actually the Soundlink Revolve. Not the "2". Model: 739523-1110
With the old teams, my bluetooth speaker used to work flawlessly but after switching to new teams, it disconnects frequently while in the call. I have tried resetting the speaker and everything I could but the issue persists.
Had same frustrating issue on my Soundlink Resolve 2+.
What worked for me was to turn off "auto disconnect" function on Bose Soundlink, which is turned on by default.
You do this by holding the Input and Volume up buttons for a a few seconds until it audibly says "auto disconnect" turned off.
I hope it works for you too.

Hello
I’m Adeyemi and I’d be happy to help you with your question.
There could be a few reasons why you're experiencing this issue. One possibility is that there might be an issue with your Bluetooth settings. Another possibility is that there might be a problem with the Teams application.
Here are a few steps you could try to resolve this issue:
- Check your Bluetooth settings: Make sure your Bluetooth speaker is set as your default audio device under Teams settings. You can do this by clicking on your profile picture in Teams, selecting 'Settings', and then clicking on 'Devices'. From there, you should be able to select your Bluetooth speaker.
- Reset your Bluetooth speaker: You mentioned that you've tried resetting your speaker, but it might be worth trying again. You can usually do this by holding down the power button on your speaker until it turns off and then turning it back on.
- Update Teams: Make sure you're using the latest version of Teams. Sometimes, issues like the one you're experiencing can be resolved with an update.
If none of the above steps work, you might want to consider reaching out to Microsoft Support for further assistance. They might be able to provide more specific guidance based on your situation.
I hope this helps.
