Well I know that people will judge Gordon Ramsay very harshly for this result. But in fairness to Ramsay, I think it is worth noting the following points before judging him too harshly: He is being called in to try and turn around the absolute BOTTOM of the barrel restaurant fiasco situations, at a point in which it is often too late (due to insane debt levels). If you were tasked with going around to businesses that were on the threshold of bankruptcy, and trying to turn them around, your success rate would not be that great, no matter what the level of your skills and talents. 2) Despite being continuously thrust into trying to save near hopeless situations... he nevertheless takes on the challenge, and really seems to give a lot of himself, in terms of emotion and energy. 3) Finally it should be noted that while the show is primarily dramatic entertainment, nevertheless, I strongly believe the show has actually SAVED far more restaurant businesses then we can know. In other words, MANY restaurant owners around the world watch these shows and undoubtedly learn from it, taking away the idea that customers should be treasured, respected, and treated like gold. Conveyed in that show, is the idea of respect, in terms of cleanliness of the kitchen, the use of prime ingredients, and simplification of overly complex and convoluted menu choices. There is also the idea that it's never too late to try and change and turn things around, and at least go out fighting to make the restaurant far greater than it is. 4) Sorry another thought just came to mind: that show also influences "regular" people like me, to improve our home kitchen cleanliness and ingredients! So in the end, we'll probably never know the true statistic on how many restaurants this show has saved, by inspiration and teaching lessons... But whether or not for the shear entertainment drama of it all, or for the restaurants it does help turn around that we'll never know about... I still think this show has great value. Your point about spoilt rich people with their kids treating the meal like it was nothing special is something I've experienced at basically every three star I've gone to. I don't understand why you'd take kids there when you can definitely afford a nanny. Ridiculous. I do feel my meal there gave me a similar feeling. It was all immaculately done but it didn't move me much, if you understand. But I get that at Ducasse too. Its incredibly well done and the ingredients are top but it doesn't grab and stay with me. L'enclume does. Edit: just want to give a shout out to the never ending replies I'm getting from permanently offended parents hell bent on taking their charming little creations to three star restaurants. You are all coming across exactly how you are thought of. Good day. More on reddit.com

My wife and I are big Gordon fans and one of the best meals we ever had was at Hell's Kitchen in Vegas... his signature Beef Wellington is unbelievable. So we went to the restaurant here to get that again and it's about 90% as good as the Vegas chefs make it... so if you're interested in trying that I'd definitely tell you to try it out. If you just want a steak, as others have said this city has a bunch of great spots at a similar price point that I doubt Ramsay Steak could top. If you get dessert, definitely get the sticky toffee pudding, it's is crazy good. The chocolate pot de creme is also very tasty and decadent. For what it's worth, Christina Wilson personally trained the chefs at the KC location, she won season 10 of Hell's Kitchen, was then the executive chef at the Vegas location of Ramsay Steak for quite a while, and then Gordon made her the head of his entire division of US restaurants. They seemed to have learned well, everything we had when we went was great.
