I put the rev a shelf for a mixer in a 12 inch cabinet. Used a leftover piece of the countertop to make the top shelf.

My one concern is full-width pull-out shelves (I posted about this earlier...) and my 4 and 2 year olds not quite figuring out that both doors need to be open to pull-out the shelves, etc. I was thinking of getting two 18" tall units instead of one 36" unit but was wondering if that is just a waste of valuable space. We are rebuilding our home due to a fire and are in the middle of designing our new kitchen. What are some Kitchen Rev-A-Shelf items we should/should not consider getting?

I don't have proper photos of the new design at the moment but the layout will be top and bottom cabinets along the wall in an "L" shape and a long rectangle island. Will also have a small beverage center separate from the main "L" cabinets.

Some things we are considering are:

- 2-tier shelf pull out in bottom cabinet for pots/pans

- Pull out spice rack

- Pull out similar to spice rack but with "cups" to hold utensils, e.g. spatulas, whisk, large wooden spoons.

- Kitchen-Aid mixer pull out? This seems to take up a lot of space for a single item and not sure how much we'd actually use it

Other Kitchen accessories we are considering:

- Pot filler

- Glass Rinser

Edit: Also open to other kitchen suggestions as well we should think of

The sink tray in the false drawer fronts for your sink, it’s wonderful having that spot for sponges and brushes.

Not necessarily a Rev-A-Shelf thing, but deep drawers instead of shelves for lower cabinets - I was skeptical at first but I’ll never go back to shelves now.
