I wrote a complete guide on how to download YouTube and patch it using ReVanced Manager. It covers all the steps you need like:

Excellent guide! Some extra information would be really handy for noobs, things like configuring battery optimizations for gmscore, adding the branding patch to make the app say Revanced, disabling stock YT, and configuring Revanced to be able to open external links.

For all the other common questions when you make it to this page: that GitHub above and https://revanced.app/ are the only official sites, the rest are probably malware micro g services is what allows you to have Google play services emulated so it can sign in, also not malware and necessary only if you want to use an account. there are no pre patched apks, if you downloaded and ran one you likely have malware Not all versions of YouTube are compatible, if you find this post later the one above may not be the newest. The app should suggest a version number to you, that is your latest download. apkmirror is not malware. It is the only site you should download the YouTube APK from, a lot of other APK sites have malware
