I feel stupid right now. I've been Googling wifi drivers so i can update the drivers for the PCie wifi adaper.i feel like I just overlooked something while looking too hard. Can anyone help me straighten this out.
Hi I just built my first PC and have installed Windows and all the updates using my phone as tether. It's the Asus Rog Strix B550-F Gaming Wifi II motherboard. I'm now attempting to manually install the drivers from the Asus website after declining the option to install Armoury Crate due to a lot of people on forums saying it's buggy bloatware. I was wondering if I need to install all the drivers listed on their website? And is there any particular order I need to install them in? I was going to start with the chipset drivers but the instructions are a bit confusing to me. The drivers are in a zip file and the instructions on the Asus site say if the drivers are zipped you need to first remove any previously installed AMD drivers from your computer. I'm at a bit of an impasse of how to proceed. Should I just install Armoury Crate and let it do it's thing? Also is ASUS AI Suite 3 necessary or useful? I plan to mainly make music using Reaper and wish to minimise any chance of bugs or conflicts or impaired performance as many of the plugins I use are quite CPU hungry. Any advice would be well appreciated.
Are that ok, that there no new drivers on Asus site since 2021 for that mobo hardware? I mean, no lan, chipset, audio, wifi drivers? When i brought ASUS mobo and paid premium for its name, i thought there would be support better then some "asrock" that i used before asus.
And on other hand they do like almost monthly updates to their "not so good" software that install lots of bloatware.
So I finished my build recently, and I can’t seem to download these certain LAN-drivers for my motherboard that I got straight off of the ASUS website. Every other driver I got off that website downloaded just fine but the most recent LAN-Drivers that are on there just won’t download and I have no idea why.
Any solutions? I need to be connected to WIFI to actually have the full version of Windows 10 installed and I can’t do that without the drivers. (To my knowledge)
Hi,
My little sister had just built her new pc build and shes having trouble with boot up. went in and installed all recommended chips, drivers, bios, etc.. through our separate pc via usb. Unfortunately the network driver/controller seemed not wanting to install properly or maybe is corrupted as ive researched more into it so as you may/not know she has no way of connecting to the LAN cable. Went deep into the device manager making sure i redownloaded and re-installed everything off of the asus website but nothing seems to work im worried it can be a hardware mishap but not to sure open to any ideas/takes. PLEASE HELP ME IVE BEEN DEALING WITH THIS FOR A COLLECTIVE 10 HOURS!!!!!!!! Appreciate any inputs/thoughts.
I have no Ethernet so I have to install the motherboard drivers from usb. I transfer the wifi and lan drivers unzip the flies and click “AsusSetup” and get to the “do you want to allow this app to make changes to your device page” I click yes but then nothing happens I just get sent back to the files. I’ve done this multiple times already Am I dumb and it’s already installed or did I install the wifi antenna wrong?
I had the same thing on the exact mobo.
Let it install the horrible software it auto installs (can't remember name Rog shield or something)
Mine never worked until I let that auto install, tried numerous times.
You have do use a ROG cleanup tool to get rid of the bloatware too. Hope that helps.
I got something similar. My Ethernet works and Bluetooth works BUT I do not have a wife adaptor and something is preventing my network controller from updating.
