r/samsung on Reddit: S24 Plus: MagSafe Case Recommendations
February 14, 2024 -

I currently own one of Spigen's Magfit Slim Armor cases for my S24 Plus. It's the only kind of case they have for the S24 Plus that is compatible with MagSafe. Only problem is I don't like how the kickstand is a little loose and slightly hangs out even when not in use. Any recommendations on a different magnetic case from reputable brands?

r/GalaxyS24 on Reddit: Best Magsafe case with precise camera cutouts for Galaxy S24+?

I have a Galaxy S24+ and it feels like most of the best premium cases (Caudabe Sheath, Andar Aspen etc.) are only made for the S24 Ultra, and not the base S24 or S24+. I'm looking for a case that looks good, has precise camera cutouts and also has Magsafe. My requirements seem quite reasonable but I haven't been able to find any case that meets my requirements. I tried the dBrand Grip case but it felt like Sandpaper and was so grippy that it would cling to my pocket so I returned it. I've also tried the Benks ArmorPro, but the power button had a lot of QC issues and wouldn't press down properly. I then tried the Pitaka MagEZ case but the material got super oily very easily, and also I didn't like how the case left the side buttons exposed so I also ended up returning it. It seems like every case that I've tried has some sort of issue that makes it a dealbreaker for me. Are there any good cases out there that would fit my criteria? I don't understand why case manufacturers only release their best cases for the Ultra, since the base and Plus models are more popular than the Ultra.

Hi all. I'm looking for recommendations on a magsafe case for the S24+ that would work with a wallet for 1-2 cards. I wanted to get the Mous case but it says it is not compatible with wallet attachments. Thanks!

The reason why Mous and other cases say they wont work with wallets, is because they dont have the alignment magnets in the bottom. Qi charging standard uses the Magsafe Circle. But true "Magsafe" is the Circle and the vertical | strip magnet below it to hold elongated things like wallets, and battery packs in place. Here are the two cases i used with Magsafe compatibility. The one i use the most is the JETech Magnet Case. You can get it in a bundle with the case, a camera lens protector, and a screen protector. https://www.amazon.com/JETech-Samsung-Galaxy-Magnetic-Protector/dp/B0CXDTMH8L This is the case that is almost always on my phone as my daily driver. I like it because it has a flat back, so when there is nothing on the back of the phone, it lays flat on the surface. It is also very slim, and the rubber texture fells good in the hand. The camera protectors fill in the opening around the camera lens bump, and give the whole case a nicely finished look. The screen protectors are decent quality. I like the fact that they have a pinhole for the front facing camera, unlike the notch style of most cheap tempered glass panels out there. But, be aware, that the installation of the glass is a bit of a pain in the ass. You have to use tape to line it up, and its a bit tricky. But play around with it before you ever remove any of the protective film on the glass and you should figure it out ok. If not, the Spigen Tempered glass will work with this case, no problem, and it comes with an applicator frame for alignment. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0CQL8QSCS This is the other cause i bought. Its SUPER cheap. But the protection is really good. But it makes the phone very bulky. Its basically a Chinesium knock off of a Otterbox Commuter case. Obviously the protection isnt as good, because it isnt a two piece design like the Otterbox Commuter, but compared to the JETRech, it does bounce better. It also is fully compatible with the JETech Screen, and Lens protection. So you can freely swap cases back and forth as you see fit. I usually switch to this case when i am going hiking, or riding my bike, or in a situation where i may be more likely to drop my phone, as not only it does offer better drop protection, but the rubber it a little more grippy, if the case feels a little cheaper. But for $5, its an easy replacement if it gets dinged up. Like the JETech, this one also sits flat on its back. Beyond these two, most of the other Magsafe compatible cases i tried had issues with falling apart, yellowing, had an obnoxious ridge around the camera bumps. Didnt have adequate space around the USB port for my DAC's, or in one instance, the magsafe ring was completely misaligned with the charging ring. So it would get absurdly hot when charging. Which brings up my final point. Do be aware that because of the way the camera lens array is set up on the back of the S22-24, when you put a Magsafe Wallet or Battery Pack on the back of the phone, the upper left corner WILL cover and obstruct the telephoto lens. This generally isnt an issue in normal use. But be aware of it. The other case i mentioned lowered the ring to improve compatibility, and ruined wireless charging. So if the magnet looks low, or they claim it avoids the camera...dont use it.

It can say all it wants, I don't see a reason why it wouldn't be compatible, it's just a cycle of magnets

I just got my Dbrand Grip case with magsafe and I really don't like it. Texture of the grip feels like sandpaper and is uncomfortable to hold, and the back is too smooth and feels cheap. I'm really liking my Spigen Liquid Air case but wishing I had something like it which also had magsafe - any suggestions?

What features are you specifically looking for in a magsafe case? I've had quite a few and here are my general thoughts... UAG Metropolis LT - Sexy case with a very discrete magsafe feature. Magnet is strong enough for most applications and wireless charging and NFC both worked flawlessly. The sides were a little too grippy coming in and out of my pocket for my personal preference -- this was honestly my only complaint. Spigen Slim Armor - I've only seen this on Spigen's site**. Magnet is quite strong here and wireless charging and NFC both worked for me. The case is slim for Spigen, but not the slimmest when compared to other brands, but there's some good protection here. My gripe with this case is that the sides were slick and buttons were flush with the sides of the case. Torras Magnetic Ostand - I was wary because I don't like clear cases, but the black case on a black phone gives a matte appearance instead of clear. The mag ring doubles as a stand and wireless charging and NFC both work. My original concern was the mag ring extending when separating the case from my magnetic stand. In my 1 week of use, this never happened. Mous - Honestly, I wanted to like the Mous cases. It wasn't as grippy as I expected. The insides were nicely cushioned, but I was discouraged when I read long term owners noticed excessive rub marks on their phones from the case. Not to mention the leather case felt more like a rubber-ish sticker than actual leather. DBrand - Their thing is customization and grip. You get both of these but with 2 noteworthy cons. The grip's material is prone to collecting dust and lent, especially in the pocket. The case is protective, but other cases feel as if they offer more protection. All that said, I've been bouncing between the Torras OStand and Spigen's Tough Armor (With third-party magring sticker). The Torras is a bit thinner, but I thoroughly enjoy the sense of protection with Spigen. I still have the DBrand case, but I'm awaiting the leather skin before I put it to daily use. Sadly, the best leather looking and feeling backed case I've had for the S24 was from an off-brand on Amazon. The leather, though fake, was compressible as leather typically is. **Spigen's return process was pretty simple and straight-forward. Though it's not as quick as Amazon's.

In to see some suggestions. I already have 5 cases and none of them are the one. Thinking of spending some money and getting the uag metro with the hex pattern back or the mous carbon fiber. Its a lot of money to spend though. Maybe someone will mention one I haven't seen yet.

I'm upgrading from my Pixel 7 Pro. I'm leaning between Galaxy a S24 Ultra/+ or an Iphone 16 Pro Max. The only reason I'm considering Iphone is I love Magsafe and want to do a whole setup with a wireless magsafe car charger, desk charger, wallet, and wireless battery bank. If I go with Samsung are the Magsafe cases actually strong enough to hold the phone on chargers and use Magsafe accessories. I've seen people say Apple Magsafe works better since the magnetic cases are reinforced with the existing magnets in the Iphones.

So I know that magsafe cases cause issue with the S-pen when you connect it to a magnetic holder, etc. I have a magnetic PopSockets Aura case and it affects the S-pen whenever I attached the PopSockets grip.

Anyway, I finally decided to buy the Spigen Ultra Hybrid Zero One magnetic case along with the Spigen Nano Pop Silicone Holder. I've been putting it off coz of the cost, lol. I tried the S-pen while I'm using both the case and holder and the S-pen was working fine as it should. I tried using it while my phone is attached to a magnetic stand and it's still working fine. So I'm glad that I got these now! 👍

Hey everyone! I need help finding the best magsafe case for the S24 Ultra.

I saw the chiropractor and was told to stop having a wallet in my back pocket, so I'd like to get a magsafe case to use with a magsafe card holder. I know there are cases with card holders built in, but they interfere with wireless charging & most only hold small amounts of cards.

The best options I've found are Spigen Tough Armor Magfit, Ringke Onyx, Torras Magnetic Ostand, Pitaka Pin Button, and JETech Magnetic Case. Just wondering if I'm missing any other good options or if any of the ones I've mentioned aren't that good.

Any help is appreciated!

Recently been introduced to the world of MagSafe & it took me a dozen cases to find one that does not cover one of the camera on my Galaxy S24 Ultra.

Left: dbrand Grip Case Center: Spigen Tough Armor MagFit Right: Benks Armor Pro

YouTuber, Asian Geek Squad, informed me that Benks is currently the only brand that positions their MagSafe ring low enough as accessories do not block a camera. Less chance of scratching & just looks better in my opinion. Hope this helps a bit.

I know a few of these exist but I've not found any I like the look of, all a bit hard plasticky or mall ninja looking currently. Would really just like a simple leather case like the ones Bellroy make but with magsafe.

I currently have the official standing grip case and love it but again no magsafe and I need that magsafe.

Any suggestions?

My personal problem is that a lot of magsafe cases have this ugly camera cutout. Too big and not precise at all. As far as i know there is no leather magsafe case yet with a precise or good looking cutout. Options for leather with magsafe right now is the Mous Limitless 5.0. I switched to clear magsafe cases from Spigen, Ringke and Whitestone. They all got the precise cutouts without any extra redundant design details like ESR. Currently waiting for the Dbrand Grip Case which now comes with Magsafe and can be skinned with leather or any other skin. Also the the Dbrand Ghost which is my favorite case i got for the S23 Ultra a few months back. As for Aramid cases i prefer the Benks Armor Pro which has Magsafe, precise cutouts and side coverage. Cheers

I must of bought over 20 magsafe cases from various brands for my s24U. But sent most of back . I use all magsafe accessories from wallets , power banks and car chargers. I mostly concerned about the magsafe wallet fitting flush. These are brands that are really good cases, fit flush with my wallet and a strong ass magnet. All from amazon: *Jetech *Sheheme *Torras The first 2 brands have the strongest magnets, but the torras have better overall quality. I'd say the first two are from the same manufacturers but under different brand names. I purchased ringke and esr as well, but those cases have the titanium frame peeking out on the sides but not the top and bottom. It's like they used the mold from the s23U, and that bothers the heck out of me.

Hello all,

I recently got a new Samsung Galaxy S24+ and I’m looking for a case to go with it. From what I’ve gathered up to now, I’m thinking of getting a Spigen Liquid Air, Spigen Rugged Armor or Pitaka Ultra-Slim Case.

My main points in what I’m looking for in a case are:

  1. As sleek and thin as possible

  2. Solid protection. Doesn’t have to be anything crazy, but I am prone to dropping my phone about once every month, so I want to feel safe that I won’t damage it.

  3. The price up to 100€

I’m looking for reviews of the cases that I mentioned or suggestions of something I might have missed. Any and all help is greatly appreciated!
