I didn’t find the plush soft to be soft at all (side sleeper). It’s subjective I guess but to me plush soft is like what you experience with a memory foam type mattress (your body sinks into it and it forms to your body). I thought it’d be a similar feel but higher quality based on how it’s described but I didn’t have the same experience with Saatva. Saatva Classic Mattress Review
The Saatva Luxury Firm is good for all sleeping styles and the vast majority of sleeper weights. If you’re a heavier sleeper (but still under 300 lbs.) or simply prefer a firm feel, you may find the Firm version to be better suited to your needs. If you are a petite sleeper or simply prefer an ultra-soft feel, the Plush ... 9.68 Overall Score

r/Mattress on Reddit: How soft is the Saatva Classic Plush Soft?
March 15, 2022 -
I am 5-9, 170 lb, back and side sleeper, no stomach.
I already tried the Luxury Firm, but I also wanted to test the Firm, which I am currently. The Luxury Firm was good, but I wasn't too sure. I thought I'd try the Firm and see if I could sleep only on my back, but I keep rolling to my side, plus the Firm is still too hard even if I was strictly a back sleeper.
I heard from the Youtuber RizKnows that the Plush Soft was good for combo sleepers, but others have stated that it is only good for strict side sleepers.
So if you have tried the Plush Soft, do you think that a combo back/side sleeper of my stats would do fine on it?

I do advertising and sales for a mattress specialty store. In my experience feeling and selling all sorts of mattress brands you have to keep this in mind: Do not believe the plush/firm/medium labels of mattress brands. Saatva is notoriously firm no matter what their label says. Their plush is probably closer to a medium in all mattress options. Beautyrest is notoriously soft for example. Their “medium firm” is more like a medium plush. Ive never felt a Saatva before but every single customer coming into our store to replace their Saatva says it was too firm, no matter what the label said.I’ve never heard a complaint that the Saatva was too soft. Just something to keep in mind.

Saatva Classic Mattress Review - Is It The Best Mattress Of The Year??
Is Saatva a good mattress?
The Saatva is indeed a good mattress - it is a supportive and comfortable innerspring mattress that features some high-quality components. That being said, it is a better fit for back sleepers, stomach sleepers, and those who prefer to sleep on top of their mattress. Side sleepers and those who prefer to sink further into their mattress might want to look elsewhere.

Habeeb thought the Saatva had a “very orthopedic feel.” She explained, “It’s very comfortable, plush, and cushioning, which are all the things I want to see in an orthopedic bed.” This can be beneficial for conditions like arthritis, for example. She did worry about some folks who are dealing with back pain: “It might be a little soft to be a complete cure for back pain, especially if you’re a heavier sleeper, but I’m still finding enough support to keep my spine mostly aligned.

For reference, I have the Luxury Firm model — and coincidentally, that’s the one we also tested in our mattress studio. Saatva Mattress Review 2026: Ratings From the Test Lab
Both have strong support systems balanced by softer cushioning foams. Back sleepers who weigh between 130 and 230 pounds will likely find the Luxury Firm Saatva to be the best combination of support, firmness, and contouring out of the three. The Plush Soft and regular Firm options are both close seconds, especially if you have a preference for softer or firmer beds.

Saatva Mattress Review (2026) | Mattress Nerd
When we put the Saatva Classic to the Mattress Nerd lab test, there were some areas of high pressure at the hips and shoulders. However, it’s important to note that we tested the Luxury Firm model. The softer model is likely to provide better pressure relief. We recommend the Plush Soft version for lightweight and average-weight side sleepers.

I Tried the Saatva Classic Mattress—Here’s My Honest Review
August 11, 2025 - I decided to exchange the mattress for the Plush Soft and was really impressed with the home trial and exchange policy (more on that later). I’ve slept on the new mattress for just under a year and am pleased with it. There was a brief break-in period, but I’d say my body adjusted to the second mattress within a week. Set up and delivery (both times) were also a breeze, and all the heavy lifting (literally and figuratively) was taken care of for me. ... First things first: the Saatva Classic Mattress is a classic innerspring mattress, as opposed to a foam, latex, or hybrid mattress.

Saatva Classic mattress review: Knock-out comfort with a luxury hotel feel
I rate the luxury firm version ... find it firmer, and heavier people might find it softer. We recommend luxury firm for most people. However, the Saatva Classic is also available in two other firmness levels: Plush Soft (3 out of 10) and Firm (8 out of 10).... Saatva’s flagship mattress is still the best option for most sleepers, but there’s one group of people who should give it a major swerve

Saatva Classic Mattress review: A luxury experience from the free in-home setup to the premium materials
March 8, 2025 - As mentioned above, the Luxury Firm Saatva Classic will likely be too firm for most side sleepers. My hips and shoulders couldn't sink in enough for optimal spinal alignment. I'd recommend side sleepers try the Plush Soft comfort option instead. I also found the motion isolation properties average, and I don't love that there is a return fee if the mattress doesn't meet your expectations.

April 7, 2015 - Of course like so many have said on here, I found this site after my Saatva purchase. I am hoping to get a quick opinion about my situation. We had a big Euro pillowtop mattress that was about 9 years old. The pillowtop of course had extreme indentations in it and there was no support at all.
