Salesforce will hire no more software engineers in 2025 due to AI
This guy is full of crap. There isn’t a word that leaves his mouth that isn’t pure marketing bs. I still remember when he claimed their AI was making decisions in their board meetings. https://www.cnbc.com/2018/01/25/davos-2018-ai-machine-called-einstein-attends-salesforce-meetings.html Don’t read too much into this, he’s just peddling their latest mediocre AI tech. Salesforce CEO confirms 4,000 layoffs ‘because I need less heads’ with AI
Looking on the message boards, it's just the normal "churn to look relevant" Silicon Valley stuff. "Like, everybody's totally doing it! Oh my gah!" I.E. "I'm not sure there's an AI strategy, but if we talk about AI and fire enough people, it'll look like we know what we're doing in the c suite!" More on reddit.com

AI is doing 50% of the work at Salesforce
He's lying because he has a vested interest in getting the rest of the world to adopt as much AI as possible because of the huge bets he's made on Agentforce and AI as the commercial direction of the company. AI is certainly helping people work better in the company, I am not saying they don't use it. But I know people who work there across a few different departments. 50% is just not even close to true. These statements from him are marketing puffery, not serious accounting of the use of AI at the company. More on reddit.com
