All members are allowed in the building between 9am-8pm regardless of being a plus member or not.

Wow, people are literally on here bitching they don't get to enter the store an hour early? Man, faith in humanity has been completely lost during this uncertain time in the world. Newsflash to you choosy beggars, it's not permanent. It's just while this virus is at its peak, once things return to normal, so will the hours. Calm. Down. I used to work for Sam's (so grateful I don't anymore so I don't have to listen to people like this) and believe me, having the extra time to sanitize and stock and get the store ready is essential. So please, be patient with the store and the people who work there. They don't make the rules, they're just following what they've been told. If you don't like how they're handling things, get a refund on your membership and just don't come back. Simple as that. Or you know, just wait an hour.

I heard about this from an employee at Sams and confirmed it on the phone with several managers from different Sam's Clubs in my area. This information is not posted anywhere on the web. It's not even mentioned on the Sam's Club Plus Membership page; they're still touting the 7am early shopping hours. So if you're thinking about buying a Plus membership just for that extra hour, don't because it'll be gone soon.
If the extra hour of shopping is important to you then I'd urge you to call your store and complain or call 1-800-WALMART and let them know you're not happy about the change.

I guess I’m getting old, because I’m actually kinda pissed about this. If I’m reading it correctly, Plus members are losing an hour of exclusive shopping. As a member that lives in DFW, this is my primary shopping time. Anytime after 10ish is a nightmare to go to Sam’s. Not happy at all about it.

I was unaware that the hours for the plus members decreased by an hour. That’s really not right. Personally think it’s incredibly stupid to do this on Sunday’s and I hope it backfires on them. The extra hours on Sunday for what? A few dozen people?
