Had a S95B for around a year and just a few days ago, the solar remote stopped working completely. It started with persistent low charge warning last week and escalated a few days ago to a point where it just stops charging even when plugged in (no red light)
Tried to reset but to no avail. Samsung reps says that the warranty only covers the remote for 6 months even though my warranty is until 2026. I have to purchase a brand new one if I want it replaced.
Is everyone else experiencing this crappy quality on ttheir solar remote too? Or am I the only one?

I bought the Neo Qled tv last year and I full charged the remote via usb c. At the moment the charge is at 29% and I have never seen the battery charge go up even tho I always leave the solar side facing up?
Does anyone else know how the solar work? Any experience with this tv remote?

Samsung rep here. The solar charging system isn't designed to fully charge the remote. That's the usb c port. The solar makes the battery last a hell of a lot longer than it normally would without it. As long as you leave the remote faced up once you stop using it then you don't have to worry. You also don't need to put it in sunlight. It charges on indoor light as well
