How much $ are you making in cybersecurity?

$175k USD as a senior cyber GRC analyst. Was a team manager previously but demoted earlier this year after my company was acquired. 10 years of IT experience, 8 years of cyber experience. MBA, no certs. The tech/cyber job market is the worst I’ve seen it during my career, even worse than the Great Recession. You might very well be underpaid, but I would recommend figuring out what direction you want to go, working on certs and building your network and waiting for an upswing in hiring before making a move. Companies know that the job market is flooded with applicants and salaries are down right now. I can’t emphasize building your network strongly enough. Join organizations like ISACA, figure out if there are local professional security groups and go to their meetings etc and make connections. More on reddit.com
