Front soft brush was failing to spin on my 810. I found that belt pully had only been pressed on and was now slipping after about 4 years. Fix was to Dremel a keyway on the shaft and inside of pully and drive a brad in to lock it firm. (see image close-up) I think this was really bad engineering by the manufacturer to just press this pully on. Hope this might help someone with the same problem. More on reddit.com

Guessing something jammed the roller and  messed up the belt and internal components of the head.  You can buy a complete brushroll nozzle assembly for a repair.  The Duoclean vacuums are particularly prone to issues with the nozzles so you might want to consider investing in a different option before spending money into this Shark.
