Your salesperson either lied, or is ignorant. Most of Shaw's LVP (heck, most LVPs in general) are made in Asia. Alot of them have transitioned to Vietnam to avoid the Tariffs that were put in place, or the laws against slave labor out of China. As for the the floor itself? I actually stock that material and color. Out of the four, its the least popular color lol. Its fine, as long as you are prepping your floor. Some of the best stuff I’m aware of is sold at Home Depot. It’s called life proof flooring. I shopped extensively before I started using it in rental properties and I have used quite a bit over the last few years. I’ve been very happy with it. There is a similar product made by Anderson, which manufactures up in Pennsylvania. Honestly I can’t tell the difference between the Anderson product and the life proof flooring, which is made in China. The Shaw products are made in Georgia. One of the things I did while I was shopping is take a key and attempt to scratch the surface. The scratch resistance and overall thickness of the product or what led me to when I chose. I have used shaw flooring in hundreds of homes. I have supplied it direct from the warehouse and have installed it via menards. What most of those bad complaints are, is people buying the worst quality they can get, and then being upset it's cheap shit? The one talking about the floor coming up in 6 months, I would put money that it was a DIY who didn't install it correctly. Probably had it tight wall to wall and it buckled cuz it had no room to expand and contract. The floors do scratch fairly easily, but if you put felt pads on your furniture legs you're fine. And as far as dog nails, the vinyl planks hold up better than wood for scratches. Shaw is typically a very nice product. But they do have low quality stuff for realllly cheap. More on reddit.com

Yes. We put Shaw Floorte in our last home. It was down for a couple of years before we moved, and when it was empty, and I mopped down all the floors, I only found one small scratch. Mind you, we have two medium size dogs whose hobby was running from one slider to another all day long keeping track of their chipmunk friends. Would recommend. More on reddit.com
